Ventura is a nice place to visit, and a particularly great find was the Ventura Botanical Garden. It was wonderful - beautiful plants, well maintained trails and gorgeous vistas. Visiting downtown was amazing.
Visiting downtown was amazing. I grew up in Ventura and love the growth and development the city has maintained. Great place to live and work. Location is ideal for: sailing, hiking, fine dining and 65 miles away from LA. So, trips to Disney Land, Universal Studios or Dodgers games could be enjoyable and a short days ride.Guest review byTina - 10.0

I love Ventura, so many things to do.
I love Ventura, so many things to do. Something for everyone! I was here for work, but enjoy coming back to my hometown to take advantage of being by the ocean again, and visiting friends and favorite restaurants. Breakfast at Arts Corner cafe was just as I remembered, the Corner cakes: thin, crispy on the edges pancakes were so good! For dinner, I went to my favorite BBQ place, CJ’s Bbq in Oxnard. I discovered they have downsized the eat in part of the place, so I got my order to go to eat at the motel. The baby back ribs were perfect, a nice smoke on them and the sauce carmelized perfectly.
