Room was quite filthy. Cobwebs in the corner. Rugs not cleaned. Bathroom was dirty, hair and filth on the floor. Bugs on ceiling and in tub area. Electical outlet hanging out from wall, possibly electrical issues as well as safety and fire hazzard.

We were looking for a place to spend the night on our way...
We were looking for a place to spend the night on our way north and Troutville answered that bill. There were several dining options in the vicinity, Being in the mountains, I suppose there were some scenic places around but our schedule did not permit us the time to scout them out.

We had a dog with us and we were assigned a room on the side of the hotel closest to I-81. Road noise was a problem, but luckily, I carry a pack of wax and cotton earplugs with me. My husband and I both used them and the beds were SHOCKINGLY comfy and cozy. We had the best night's sleep of the whole weekend there.

Staff was great - friendly and accommodating. My room was clean and comfortable. The location was great - I felt safe traveling alone. Stayed on my way north and made this hotel my stop on the way back home.

It was close off of I-81. Two hotels side by side so pay attention to what entrance you are entering. It was difficult to see at night in the pouring down rain.

The location was easy to get on and off the Interstate and next to a pet friendly restaurant that offered a hotel discount. Good hot breakfast.
