Being a city off the beaten tourist track, Syracuse has great prices for lodging, tickets, super quiet to drive and park, use public transportation, walk in the mall, visit sights. When I left Syracuse, I went to New York City (NYC). It is the 3rd time I go to NYC, but this time I felt the huge difference! NYC is noisy, cars honk non-stop; people are in a hurry all the time; the traffic is chaotic; lodging, food, etc. everything is much more expensive! Large old industrial town. Downtown area has great old buildings. Niagara Mohawk building is amazing. Talking Cursive Brewery is across the street.
