United KingdomWelcoming hotel. Made to feel like you were staying in a friend’s home. Can even help yourself to wine (this would never happen in the UK)! Comfortable bedroom. Daniel made us feel very welcome and cooked a delicious breakfast for us in the morning. Set up allows you to sit with other guests and chat. Would highly recommend.
Not much was open in the town that evening, but a perfect place to stop between Crater Lake and Lake Tahoe.

I came to Susanville because my dad owned property there...
I came to Susanville because my dad owned property there when I was a kid and we would visit once a year. I came with a heavy heart by myself because my mom,dad and wife are all gone but the service at the hotel and several eating places warmed my heart. We were in Susanville to bicycle on the Bizz Johnson Trail.
We were in Susanville to bicycle on the Bizz Johnson Trail. The trail is 25 miles of gravel. We rode about 18 miles out and returned (36 total). Spectacular scenery along the Susan River, and a couple pretty short tunnels. Highly recommend. Older facility, but our room was comfortable, and a nice size. Bathrooms are always a problem, grout around the tub should be replaced. The black moldy grout makes it feel unclean. There was a group of Middle Eastern men cooking food in a portable hibachi in front of their room. Susanville is a nice small town.
Susanville is a nice small town. It has great accommodations, good restaurants, shopping, and the usual fast food. It was our choice due to it's location between Eureka, CA and Tonapah, NV. We decided not to stop in Reno, a couple of hours east, and stay in Susanville CA. The hotel rates are better in Susanville. Charged us when we couldn’t get to your motel due to truck...
Charged us when we couldn’t get to your motel due to truck breakdown in Tonopah. Email you advising of our situation and why we could not be there. You charged us anyway. Not a situation we had any control over or that was foreseeable. We stay there regularly when we travel between Florence, Oregon and our home in Las Vegas. Never again unless you refund the charge promptly and notify us accordingly. Stopped and talked with the girl at the front desk. She was extremely rude and said Best Western had nothing to do with it. Before, desk girl was helpful and friendly. Current one needs to be replaced or your business will suffer.Guest review byR.
