It was a perfect stay! We enjoyed everything in the motel. It was so lovely! The location is stunning and peaceful, staff was really great, the room well equipped and designed and they pay a lot attention to details. We can also recommend the diner that belongs to the motel. Food has been great and we had a great time there. We just loved everything about this little gem! A perfect choice.

From the self service breakfast and tea time in the evenings, the kitchenette was amazing. The rooms are spacious, lovely interior and exterior. The rooftop lounge and bar is just that cherry on top. They have a cafe and small shop with all your holiday essentials within the hotel which is incredibly convenient. The staff was incredible as well, would like to especially point out Mario (the manager), Dan (the bartender), Aedan (the receptionist), and Alfred (the room service expert).

Quirky & very thoughtfully designed hotel. We fully enjoyed the short Thanksgiving getaway with such a cool hotel and cozy town! Staff were very friendly & our room was very comfortable. Two great, small bars on property to start or end the evening! We will enjoy visiting in the summer as well!

This outstanding hotel, frozen in time, along with its amazing location, deserves an exceptionally better staff. The staff were untrained and lacking experience, appearing overly casual. They seemed to be more like students than professionals. They advertised a "valet parking" service, but even if the attendant by the hotel entrance was charming, this "service" was nothing short of a joke. There was a lack of information and a general sense of indifference. The reception had an amateurish feel, with an 18-year-old girl visibly struggling to operate the computer. Regardless, this place is an absolute dream..

OMG Mia was fantastic from check in to check out. Nothing was too much trouble, she was the perfect host and whatever she is paid - isn’t enough!! She went above and beyond and made us feel so welcome it was exceptional. Room was superb, so many chill out spaces were a brilliant asset to comfortably sit and read our books due to rainy/cloudy weather. The location is like Mia, second to none!! Some reviews suggest it being dated - I think they themselves are the ones who are dated, as the place is designed and styled to be retro, quirky, individual and stylish, it’s a shame this unique property isn’t given the applause it deserves.

Southold was a really cute town, have been through before.

Southold was a really cute town, have been through before. Greenport is very close by, with many restaurant options available. -- The Halyard, The Frisky Oyster and Crazy Beans were a few of the places we visited. However, if you are lucky enough to meet Taylor (at the Shoals) she has some wonderful ideas and options for you to try.

Colin at the front desk is very friendly and helpful with transportation, activities and dining suggestions. Great location across from the town beach, Greenport and wineries. Comfortable beds, great hot water and very clean.

The Manager, Colin, is great, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the area. The motel is right across the street from a nice little beach and close to the wineries and Greenport.
