Rome's downtown was gutted by urban renewal decades ago and...
Rome's downtown was gutted by urban renewal decades ago and has been making a comeback, largely due to the beautiful Capitol Theater, although a tornado in 2024 didn't help. Plenty to see if you're interested in history and historic buildings. Lots of good restaurants in or near downtown. Foothills of Andirondacks close by, beautiful area.

When I saw the outside of the place I was oh man I think...
When I saw the outside of the place I was oh man I think this place is going to be bad. But we were surprisingly surprised with the room it was clean and decent. Not a 4 or 5 star by any means but for the price it was very good.

Good and standard complimentary breakfast. Clean hotel however, some rooms would need lift ups. Especially bathrooms.
But it’s more of a cosmetic issue than anything else. Very good hotel clean. Very nice and friendly staff.

Location off bike trail was perfect, close to Franklin Hotel, my favorite food stop. Pool was refreshing and very clean
