Make sure and eat at Avocado, one of the best Mexican restaurants in North Carolina. I ordered the Chicken and Chorizo Tacos and they were delicious. The chorizo was bitesize and very crunchy. The staff are so welcoming. Great restaurant!

The staff at check in was not very welcoming at all.

The staff at check in was not very welcoming at all. The floors make your feet black, toilet had scum ring bathroom overall was not clean. (I take cleaner along) Due to convenience this isn’t the first time staying and the last time I waited for housekeeping to finish and still was not cleaned. This past stay was much quieter but still disappointing. They follow no Covid guidelines!

The hotel is 3 min from the mountain so it was great.

The hotel is 3 min from the mountain so it was great. The breakfast is pretty good : coffee, tea, milk, creamer. There are different types of cereals, toasts, beagels, waffles, fuit. The staff was really helful and kind. We arrive early in the morning and they let us leave our stuff there while we were in the mountains, and we did the check in when we returned. The only thing we didnt like was the room, it smeled old and cigarrettes , the carperts were dirty, the bathoroom too small and old. The beds were pretty comfortable and looked cleaned. In the bedroom we had tv, mini fridge and a coffee machine.

Pilot Mountain, the town is absolutely adorable!

Pilot Mountain, the town is absolutely adorable! Beautiful scenery, clean and away from all the hustle and bustle. We stayed the evening after visiting Mt Airy and all the Andy Griffith sites. Our hotel was right off the highway yet the area was surrounded by mountains and very quiet. Not willing to venture very far because a storm was coming, our choice for food was McDonalds🤢, Wendy’s or Circle K!!!
