FAQs about hotels in Pigeon Forge

A Tennessee Mountain Home

Pigeon Forge is a family entertainment hotbed in the Great Smoky Mountains. Though ‘great’ is quite an understatement, as the sight of blue mist hovering above forested peaks is simply breathtaking.

The most famous attraction is undoubtedly Dollywood, where a steam train puffs around a host of rides and shows in a theme park named after country legend Dolly Parton. Within the grounds is the Southern Gospel Museum and Hall of Fame, and next door are pools and waterslides at Dolly’s Splash Country.

Cowboy boots should be at the ready for the singer’s Dixie Stampede dinner theatre and the Country Tonite Theater, and toe-tapping is also virtually guaranteed at the Grand Majestic Theater and Smoky Mountain Opry.

The Old Mill is a wooden watermill on the Little Pigeon River, once part of a forge complex which sparked the town’s name. Also by the river are some Pigeon Forge outlet malls and the NASCAR SpeedPark which hosts car and truck events. The Elvis Museum houses memorabilia of ‘The King’ while the Titanic Museum is a floating, half-size replica of the doomed ship.

This is just the tip of the iceberg and with Booking.com’s great deals on pet-friendly hotels and cheap motels on Pigeon Forge Parkway, you might just be tempted to do what the town’s sign requests: Y’all come back.

This area is so close the Gatlinburg and its always busy.

This area is so close the Gatlinburg and its always busy. I was surprised that the week before Thanksgiving was very quiet (which I appreciated). There is lots to do and shop and eat. I really think it offers something for everyone. I have visited in the Spring and it can get very crowded. Not so the week we were there. We were only there for 2 days and spent 1 day at Dollywood. This is an excellent location for that. We did enjoy the Pottery House Cafe.

We love visiting Pigeon Forge!

We love visiting Pigeon Forge! We try to go at least once a year, if not more. There is always something to do and, of course, the mountains are so beautiful to look at! The area is packed with so many attractions and activities, from shows, shopping, hiking, mountain coasters, zip lining, go-carting, etc. The amount of things to do is endless. Or, just kick back and enjoy the pool or a drive into the mountains to explore. It’s definitely one of our favorite places to explore, for sure! If you enjoy eating out, there are lots of wonderful restaurants to try. Our personal favorite is Five Oaks Farm Kitchen. Their cinnamon roll for breakfast or dessert is incredible! The list of great restaurants is endless!! Right now, the town is lit up with Christmas lights with many areas to explore and enjoy the feel of the holidays. Be sure to check out The Island and the beautiful walking path adjacent to the Le Conte Convention Center and the river. Beautiful!

Enjoyed the trip.

Enjoyed the trip. Dollywood decorated for Christmas (enjoyed the Christmas shows) and it was beautiful. Pigeon Island was pretty. Also enjoyed the Christmas Place. The whole town was decorated for Christmas. Enjoyed the moonshine shops. The Trolley made it very easy to get around. Would recommend Pigeon Forge. Lots to do. (was disappointed in the Dollywood Stampede Christmas Show)

The trolley service is very affordable and they were fairly prompt. Off peak season is a good time because of less crowds, but so many options still open. I would not come when big events are scheduled. That would be a nightmare for our family. Sunliner Diner was a bit higher than our average dining choices, but for the location, ambiance, and great taste/quality/quantity of meals it was very reasonable. We enjoyed dining there!

The cabin was very clean and family friendly. We had young children and the pool was a game changer for our weekend away. We went to Dollywood and the kids asked to go back to the house and play in the pool and game room. The hosts are great with communicating. We will definitely stay in this cabin again. The location of the cabin feels very private but you are literally in the perfect location to access Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and/or Sevierville.

What a great hotel. Comfortable, clean and well-equipped rooms. You have a microwave, coffee machine, a large refrigerator and many other things that equip the room very well. The bathroom is not large but very comfortable. The breakfast has many options, a large dining area and everything is fresh. The hotel is very well located, it has WiFi, parking, and a charging area for electric vehicles.

Good location with a soft bed in a cheap room. Multiple stays here. It's a cheap hotel and as the saying goes you get what you pay for. Be prepared. I always bring cleaning supplies air freshener and bug repellent. Rooms and bathrooms are kinda small and some are in better/worse shape than others. The front desk us usually good about giving extra pillows and towels.
