My daughter was married & had their reception at the...
My daughter was married & had their reception at the Painesville Township Park Community Center. And, being from out of town we stayed at the Steele Mansion & Gathering Inn. Both were magnificent & such wonderful experiences. I would highly recommend them.

Villa Rosa was easy to find.
Villa Rosa was easy to find. Getting around Painesville is a little tricky, but we just followed our phone map. It was a lovely place to visit for my husband and myself, plenty of room for an overnight stay. Wish we could have stayed a few days longer and seen the sights. The room was very comfortable with plenty of lights and space as we needed very little. Hope to stay there again. The hosts were great, made sure we knew our way to get to different restaurants so we could have dinner.

Painesville is a nice little town with great fishing spots, a harbor and marina and great restaurants. I love eating breakfast at Perkins Restaurant before heading over for a day at the beach at Fairport Harbor.

This is a unique hotel with every room having a different theme/decor, set in a classic old mansion. It is as much a museum as a hotel, and that includes the hallways! They managed to find us a room with 2 separate beds (The Railway Room) which was nice since we weren't traveling as a couple. It's worth it to have a look at whatever other room you can, they're all lovingly decorated.
The location is great; easy access to Painesville or Mentor with all the shops and restaurants a short drive in either direction.

An amazing experience! I loved my room and the staff made me feel like family. Me and my fiance had full reign to explore the mansion and look at all the amazing furniture and antiques. I live in Painesville and now consider it a must to visit this place with all it's grandeur and rich history. Oh and the breakfast was really good too!

Extremely clean, modern and well-stocked hotel. Friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast. Close enough to drive to Cleveland. Lots of amenities nearby.
