The most difficult in Old Orchard Beach is to select a good hotel, since a couple of years the price are very expensive and you need to pay a couple of hundreds dollars/night. Bring earplugs because the trains run all night. That or turn up the air conditioning and keep windows closed. The beach was very clean although be prepared as the water is very cold. The area near the pier had some unsavory characters and panhandlers. So I did not feel comfortable walking there in the evening. Not a lot of good restaurants within walking distance. The Motel is situated in the heart of the OOB minutes by foot to the pier, at the same time very quiet as it is on a side street. From our balcony we could watch the town come to life as we had our morning coffee. The entire hotel was kept clean. The pool looked inviting but we didn't have enough time to go. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend and would definitely stay there again. Air conditioning worked great and we were thankful for it.Guest review byLorraineCanada
