Experience was not that great , my kids took swimming...
Experience was not that great , my kids took swimming consumes but pool was not in service. They were so sad. In room there are not phone , you need to call the number from your phone . But after calling multiple time i need to go to downstair and wait for 10 mins due to line to talk with reception .

Travel to Tahoe during long weekend is hard, all nearby...
Travel to Tahoe during long weekend is hard, all nearby hotels are super expensive. This one will give you addtional 20min driving but will save at least 300-400 dollar hotel fee. Facility is new and nice space to stay.
But resturant near by are closed earlier and not too many things to do.

Minden has German heritage and a lot of white people.
Minden has German heritage and a lot of white people. Many homes have historical markers and it is interesting to go for a walk in the neighborhoods near downtown. There is another nice walk east along Buckeye Road. Carson Valley Swim Center is a very nice indoor facility, good for families. There are several enjoyable restaurants. It could be a good stop for travelers on Highway 395. I go there to visit family.

Be careful when you reserve the room.
Be careful when you reserve the room. Carson Valley Casino Inn and Carson Motor Lodge Inn are not the same, they have the same address on website but different location. The Carson Motor Lodge Inn, is old hotel, very smelly, no staff assistant in hotel. Not comfortable. The price for room is not right, too expensive. It looks like you stay in Motel 6 but pay around $180 per night.

There are a couple of good restaurants, but dining is average overall. Minden is close to the state capital, Carson City. There are many historic buildings in both cities. There are outings in the area, to Virginia and Truckee railroad, Virginia City, Genoa, wild horses, hiking, fishing, and hot springs.

We were driving from South Lake Tahoe at night, the snow season up and down the mountain is very steep, the drive is about an hour, after dark, driving to be safe.
The hotel's soaking pool gave us a lot of enjoyment and I slept very comfortably.
The baked potatoes for dinner, which the whole family loved, were beyond expectations. No experience casino, parking lot is huge. the next morning I saw a rainbow. Lucky trip.
The staff was very friendly, greeted us when they saw us and offered to help us.

We like that the room is spacious and clean. We don't have to get out of the hotel to eat. Good food at Katie's Kitchen, we had 2 breakfasts there and one dinner, can't complain about the service and prices were decent. We also had dinner at CV Steak, great service and so yummy food and dessert. We will definitely come back.

We enjoyed our spacious room. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location of the hotel was convenient for visiting the East and South shores of Lake Tahoe. Lots of parking space too.
