Backyard Garden Oasis is a really sweet little understated set of backyard bungalows just off the highway right outside Middletown.
I wasn’t really looking to be wowed by accommodations. I was looking for rest, comfort, and a home base to explore from. Greta is incredibly sweet, thoughtful, and accommodating and made sure I knew how to get everything I needed from arrival to departure. I will be back many times.

Greta and her best dog, Ollie, are gracious and friendly hosts, and the place was just as described. Breakfast was a tasty pastry and a plate of fruit placed in the space every eve. Middletown is just 5 mins up the road and has markets, restaurants, a bar or two, and the basic services you would expect in a town of 1500 people.
