Maryville is a college town. If you arent there for something to do with Northwest Mo State, Maryville has limited attractions. Its 90 miles from Kansas City and 50 miles from St Joseph. Omaha is about 70 miles north. There are a couple of very nice religious retreats near town (Conception Abbey and Clyde Nunnery) that are well worth the visit. There is a large game preserve west on the Missouri River at Mound City. Its located in the heart of northern Missouri farming lands and is a pretty quiet small city, about average for its size and location. Easy to drive thru, nice locals, quiet area.

Maryville itself has a lot of nice places.
Maryville itself has a lot of nice places. It has shopping, dining, and a college campus you can walk around paths on. It also has a bowling alley, and a movie theater. Scooter or Starbucks for your morning coffee and Daylight donuts is amazing if you want a fresh made donut. It is pretty close to the lake as well. There are all sorts of things to do at the lake.

The motel also took almost 600.00 out of our account for the same stay. Now waiting to get it put back. I will never use booking.com again as this also happened in June and took nearly a week to get it put back into our account.

Wouldn't come except for visits to our college students..
Wouldn't come except for visits to our college students.. Food and other entertainment options are very limited. Major utility & road work done on main street/bus 71 has been ongoing for over a year with no known completion commitment {a big mess}.

The motel was nice. Beds were comfortable.
The motel was nice. Beds were comfortable. Only problem we had was finding a plug-in. Upon getting on the floor to look under the floating night stand it was obvious that housekeeping only vacuums the center of the room. Other than that it was nice.

Holly, the clerk who assisted us at check-in, was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Very welcoming and friendly! SHE is the reason we will always keep coming back again and again! We always stay at Bearcat Inn when we come to town every few months to visit family that lives in Maryville. I hope to see Holly's friendly face every time we visit!!

The location was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and always ready to meet our needs. We have a grandson at Northwest Missouri State University and when we visit again we will be sure to book this hotel.

Breakfast simple but nourishing. Location worked well. Room comfortable and clean, I slept well. Good to see someone giving Maryville's more expensive hotels a run for their money. I'll stay again.

It's a very clean hotel. The maid service staff was very nice. The breakfast was good, for what they had.
It was very quiet at night. Even though the hotel was nearly full.
