Downtown Marquette is really fun.
Downtown Marquette is really fun. We were there on a Saturday and found a great clothing store (which was having a sale). We had a fun meal in a sports bar with a view located on Washington St. They have fixed up the downtown nicely and have art work and places to walk around. It is a pleasant city center. There is a lake front park too. Marquette in the summer is a surprise. It is an old town but is a college town which gives it a nice ambience. Only stayed one night on my way to Duluth.
Only stayed one night on my way to Duluth. The fact that Hudson's grill just across the parking lot with live music, 3$ margaritas, excellent food at a reasonable price. I used GPS to get there, so it was pretty easy to find.Guest review byGriffin - 10.0

Eat at the Dry Dock when you are in the area. Great breakfast. Specialty pizza tasty. Take out available. Also try Nang's Rice Paddy. Take out and cash only. Cheese cheese wontons crisp, freshy made. Orange chicken and moo goo gia pan (sp?) also great. Free museums (art and heritage) at the University. We were only there 2 nights this time, but were able to visit some of our favorite places. Vierling & Lagniappe for dinner, Black Rocks & Ore Dock breweries for awesome brews & live music, hike to Top of the World with friends, shopping at Getz's.
