La Grande is like the kind of home where all things are where you want them to be, what you want them to be, and where you want your kids to be. It feels safe and peaceful and is the kind of environment you want your kids to be. Not exposed to negative vibes and distractions in life.

I enjoy the slower and quieter pace offered in La Grande, Oregon. My ancestors homesteaded in the area during the 1800's and I still have family living in the area. It's nice to visit and walk or drive in the woods, view local wildlife, and visit with people --- family or strangers. The community is filled with kind and caring folks.

Do not stay here Uber any circumstances. The place was dirty. The staff untrained and the housekeepers need more training and supervision. The place was a poor excuse for a hotel. Please don’t give this ownership a dime of your money. The ownership should be ashamed for this property. It looks like they have never put a nickel into maintenance or renovation. It’s shameful.

The king sized bed was very comfortable. The room was sparse but adequate for our purposes--an overnight stay on the way to the Coast. The room was very clean. The host congenial and helpful. Biggest deficit for us was that there was no coffee for in the morning and no place in the lobby to sit while spouse slept. Was not expecting that. But the price was very good. The place served our purposes, but honestly I do not thini we will stay here again.

Clean rooms, AC hit and miss on whether it cools. Pool fun for the kids. No breakfast, just repackaged mini muffins, instant oatmeal packets with no milk and oranges. Dennys right next door! Easy access right off I-84

La Grande strikes a good balance: it's got the vibe of a quiet small city but enough amenities -- food, entertainment, shopping, services -- to meet most traveler's needs. Plus, it's a great jumping-off point for a wide variety of nearby scenic areas.
