    The location was perfect!

    The location was perfect! Very dirty, stained/ dirty bed sheets and blankets. Asked for new sheets and blankets, they were just as filthy! Supervisor said I would get a refund, $36 on a $243 booking. Absolutely ridiculous

    Find time to get on the New River - easy with tubes and...

    Find time to get on the New River - easy with tubes and there are rental places. Two great breweries in West Jefferson and great winery nearby; great restaurants with Craft Bistro at the top; for art lovers - 2 frescos, one in West Jefferson and the other in nearby Glendale Springs - inspiring! Ashe County is refreshing to the soul with many friendly, helpful people and gorgeous mountain scenery.

    I'm actually from the area just visiting friends.

    I'm actually from the area just visiting friends. But have always felt like that was my home town even though I was born elsewhere and and actually spent equal time in SC. One of my favorite places I have ever been.

    I've been coming here since I was a kid to spend the summer...

    I've been coming here since I was a kid to spend the summer with my Dad. Now I just drop in once in awhile while driving South. It's a cute city and has grown a lot since I was young. The store Rosies is still there, I use to look forward to going into that store bec it always had unique thing for a kid to look at. Jefferson It holds a special spot in my heart. My Dad is deceased now but I still stop to visit with other family members. Sorry I don't have any pics of the city.

    Jefferson was OK, however we much preferred the West...

    Jefferson was OK, however we much preferred the West Jefferson side of town and that is where we will be staying when we go back. We do however Love the Catholic Church in Jefferson. We also enjoyed the Winners Circle restaurant.

    The cottage itself was very cute, VERY clean, and the location was good. Host detailed the arrival instructions, leaving instructions, and location very well. This was much appreciated since there is very little outdoor lighting on that street. We selected this rental because it was the same price for two hotel rooms. With some changes, this would be a very comfortable stay.

    They offered variety of channels on tv. Hotel was in a great location. The staff was friendly.
