Everything was great! Truly a historical place, very well preserved. You can tell there was a lot of care in reinstating it. The staff was very helpful, friendly and efficient. Would recommend to anyone who wants a taste of history in their state.in Gallup or just to visit and maybe grab a bite on their way through route 66!

    This is an older hotel but it has a lot of character and...

    This is an older hotel but it has a lot of character and nostalgic charm that we enjoyed. Rooms were clean and the bed was good. Our room windows faced Route 66 so it was rather noisy with traffic all night and the air conditioner was rather loud as well. The bathroom had a great shower but the room was so tiny there was no where to put your toiletries. We ate in the restaurant for supper and the burgers and fries were good but nothing remarkable. If you feel newer hotels are lacking in character and charm, stay here. It was a fun stay.

    Right off a busy interstate, it is a quaint little place. I like that it has that rustic look and the feel of an old west era, to a degree. Also like the fact that I get to utilize a part of highway history, Route 66.

    Gallup is a wide spot in I 40 surrounded by nothing. 20 miles further west is Arizona with even less to see or do. To me it is just a stop over to get some sleep. We arrived and checked in at 11:00 PM.

    Galllup for me is just a resting stop.

    Galllup for me is just a resting stop. The people are nice but there's really nothing to draw me to come back. We ate at Denny's because it was so close and we were tired and didn't want to drive very far. It seems easy to get around the main area of Gallup. We have been to Gallup in the past and the best part was the Inner-tribal summer celebration and rodeo. Red Rock park is very nice.

    I'm from New Mexico so I know many places there.

    I'm from New Mexico so I know many places there. It already has a wonderful history and the Native Americans are incredible peoples. I would recommend to anyone to take the time, not only get to know Gallup, but to learn about the history of New Mexico in general.

    Gallup is not unlike other western cities.

    Gallup is not unlike other western cities. Roads need repair. Signage is not always good so bring your phone for GPS directions. Located in a scenic area very close to the Continental Divide. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather. Its proximity to the Baldera Volcano and Ice Cave and the Navajo seat of government, Window Rock makes it a great place to stop and stay. I think Gallup has improved over the years.

    This hotel was at a good location, we stayed in this hotel on route 66, the check in was on a television using zoom and when it needs you to scan your passport, you have to put it in a machine to scan. The roon was quite good and it was clean enough, if you would to enter the breakfast roon, you need to tap the key on room 101 to enter

    We had a large room on 2nd floor with Kingsize bed on the inside looking over the huge foyer. What I liked was that we did not have a prob with noise from the enormous large good trains across the road. Most hotels were backing on the train tracks in Gallup. Breakfast was good too.
