Well-maintained clean town with specialty shopping (a little pricey in some situations), good restaurants--their famous chicken/schnizel dinners. Prime\outlet shopping is just a mile or two down I-75 and Tony's Restaurant (you like bacon?) is an institution in the area.

Of course we loved our trip to Zehnders for the famous...

Of course we loved our trip to Zehnders for the famous chicken dinner! We went to the Michigan Hero's Museum, something we didn't know was there and enjoyed that. Bronners was everything we'd remembered and of course Birch Run Outlets was fun.

Shopping of course and there are so many specialty shops. The architecture and it's all very walkable. Weather permitting taking a ride on the river boat is relaxing and just fun. There are parks and just family friendly places to go to.

It was a fun short getaway.

It was a fun short getaway. Two and a half days was just enough. I would like to have seen more artisans and high-quality shops. The Funky Skunk had beautiful Irish made products, The Woolen shop had outstanding products. Visit the privately owned butchers and cheese shops for your purchases. Propst was an outstanding wine bar and great lunch stop, and I cannot say enough about Zehnder's! If the family style menu is too much (it is a lot!), they have a wonderful smaller food experience in the lower level with an excellent shopping experience! And the Bronner's Christmas Wonderland was so much fun!!! We loved our time there!

Frankenmuth, of course, is know for the Christmas Wonderland...

Frankenmuth, of course, is know for the Christmas Wonderland. It is so worth going to. Anything Christmas your heart desires is available there. Also, just walking Frankenmuth is interesting. It has quaint shops and a couple bakeries to die for. The famous chicken dinners are expensive, but very good.

Very nice quaint little town.

Very nice quaint little town. Loved walking around downtown and sitting outside. Easy to get around and everything close by. Recommend downtown Country Store as more affordable than the other stores although I forgot to take pics of it.

Our annual "pilgrimage" to Frankenmuth for the Christmas music at St. Lorenz and to finish up holiday shopping in town and at the Outlet Mall. The incredibly reasonable rates at the motel give us that much more money for shopping. It's exactly what we want, simple, clean, conveniently located (near Bronners) and the breakfast that is included starts early enough that we can just grab a bagel and yogourt and be on our way. Far better than paying twice as much at a chain hotel.

Lovely welcome from reception staff. Excellent quiet room at the back of the hotel. Very comfortable room and beds. Only stayed 1 night so didn't use facilities. Buffet breakfast was very good.

Friendly staff, clean facility. The complimentary coffee/tea in the lobby is much nicer than those dingy machines most hotels have in the room. Great water pressure in the shower.
