Buckhannon was nice. Shopping, restaurants.
Buckhannon was nice. Shopping, restaurants. Peggy's restaurant has a very good breakfast, lunch, & dinner. We like the painting's on the wall by a local artist. They are for sale, and we have many of them in our home.

It is a very small quaint town, with some of the best places...
It is a very small quaint town, with some of the best places to eat. But what everyone should know most is their fabulous donut shop. The donut shop has a large variety of donuts. There is a flavor that is sure to please just about anyone. The best in my opinion was the Strawberry shortcake. The donut shop also offers sandwiches too. If ever in Buchanan you got to try the Donut Stop.

It is a beautiful place, the downtown area is thriving.
It is a beautiful place, the downtown area is thriving. Food and Walmart are all within 1 mile. Other attractions are 1 hour away. Unseasonably warm in February, but it happens everywhere. Don’t expect to get cell service everywhere as the mountains block the towers. Friendly people, but judgemental of “outsiders”, don’t let it bother you.

This motel was closed and I was not notified. We had no place to stay upon arrival. I had to quickly find a hotel that was available. I had to pay $100 more. It was very frustrating and stressful. Booking.com never send notification that this motel was no longer in business.

We did not eat breakfast, but, we were so happy with everything about the facility. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay there!!! I wish all hotels were this clean!!

The folks at the Bicentennial Inn could not have been any more helpful or nice. Great people.
The 24/7 coffee in the lobby was a plus, as well.
