FAQs about hotels in Boston

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as ‘America’s Walking City’. In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. The nearby seaport offers whalewatching trips and restaurants serving a Boston speciality: lobster with melted butter.

The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modelled on the 80s sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book ‘Make Way for Ducklings’. The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.

The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.

Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.

The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

it was the first time exploring Boston by bicycles. it was amazing and very comfortable and saved because you have dedicated lines for riding. Than the city was change a lot from last time, with dedicated public spaces with beautiful landscape design, spaces for waking and running much more human. I love Boston for good energy, clean city, and comfort.

There is so much to see and do if you are interested in history which we are. We got the ferry to Salem which was very interesting and the trip was good. We walked everywhere so cannot comment on transport. Plenty of nice places to eat.

We enjoyed seafood at Faneuil Hall, and at a canteen in the harbour. We had a long stroll in Beacon Hill and along the Freedom Trail. We visited MIT and Harvard campuses and went whale watching. I wish we had more time, since it is a very beautiful city.

Everywhere we went we found the city to be extremely clean and the people to be very friendly. It’s a great city particularly in the autumn, and only a short train ride to Salem. Lots to see in the centre of the city if you like history and museums, plus everything is accessible either by walking- if you like getting steps in or by subway/ tram. Went to Paulies, for the lobster rolls, probably would skip it next time, it’s a bit dark and needs a refresh however dirty water pizza on Newbury street is 10/10 and recommend the steak and cola pizza!! Green foods do an amazing açai brown out in Roxbury and Mikes pastries will blow your mind with the choice..

For history lovers there are so many gems to find & explore.

For history lovers there are so many gems to find & explore. However, some of the developments adjacent to several of these sites are somewhat incongruous. For example, the glass monstrosity dwarfing the glory that is Trinity Church. Just my opinion don’t let it put you off!

Boston is a safe and friendly city, with lots of sights to see and areas to experience. We'd recommend the Fine Arts and Isabella Stewart Gardner museums, both of which are along Fenway Park. Also a trip around the harbour, plus Salem is in easy reach by train for a day trip.

I didn't have breakfast. The location was really convenient, being right in the center of downtown Boston, especially for my professional reasons. The room was very spacious, which I come to expect from American hotels BUT did not have a wardrobe which was super weird and quite frustrating to not have a place to hang my clothes.

The location of this hotel is incredible!!!! It is walking distance to all the amazing restaurants & bars as well as the key sights to see in Boston. Also, the bed was incredibly comfortable, my husband and I had the best night sleep in that bed!! Finally, really great complimentary coffee in the morning.

Rooms are not very large, but because of smart features the space is used very well. Modern and clean rooms. the location was excellent. Short walk into downtown and the plenty to do in the Seaport area. Bus from Boston Airport stops underneath the hotel.

The hotel's accessibility being very close to the JFK/UMass Train Station. Take advantage of the free hourly shuttle to the Convention Center and to the Boston Logan Airport. Comes in very handy after checkout.
