We loved visiting the Edge of the Cedars Museum, State Park.

We loved visiting the Edge of the Cedars Museum, State Park. It's beautifully done with many ancestral artifacts, plus an actual ruin with a Kiva that you can climb down into. It's definitely worth taking an hour or so out of your journey to see.

The area around Blanding is beautiful and unique.

The area around Blanding is beautiful and unique. There’s lots to see if you’re into history and unique scenery. Be sure to have a pickup or SUV with good clearance and awd/4wd for the best experience traveling around there.

I am sorry that I stopped in Blanding.

I am sorry that I stopped in Blanding. The town offers nothing worthwhile. The motel was overpriced and the only decent restaurant in town was laughable. We fueled up in town before leaving the next morning and twenty miles down the road, gas was almost $.30 a gallon cheaper. I wish we had driven the extra 100 miles to Kayenta, AZ.

There was only one real restaurant in town, a Steakhouse) and we ended up eating at the only other place that wasn’t Subway (we had just eaten at a Subway for lunch). It was an A&W-Gas Station-Bowling Alley! After driving all around Blanding we could not figure out why anyone would want to live there—was unaware any amenities existed.

It's a small town, so if you get there on Sunday the only place to eat is a Subway...but it's a nice one. They were super friendly and the food was perfect. It's quiet and we like stopping off there on our way to Arizona. You will enjoy your stay I'm sure!!

So much to do in the area – Hovenweep, Bluff, as well as Blanding. In Blanding, do you go to the ancient peoples museum( Sorry I can’t think of the name of it right now.) If you need to grocery shop, I was sent to a bowling alley by my search online… It was a small bowling alley and a like a quick shop you know like at a gas station and an A&W all in one it was not a grocery store. So then I found clark Which is not bad small but it’s a small town. I was disappointed that they had no coffee beans. They had ground coffee, but no beans. I should have driven off it and mine at home lol

The hotel room has a unique set up with a western look which we really liked. We had a room with a separating wall between the two queen beds which was nice. We also liked the hard wood floor and stone tiles instead of old carpets in most other hotels.

Easy and fast checking in, our first room was very close to vending machine, so we decided to switch the room, which was uncomplicated, too, great. Many parking lots. Some restaurants and a foodmart are in the near. Beds were comfortable.

Arch Canyon Inn is a standard hotel, nothing fancy but clean, quiet and comfortable. It was very convenient to the hiking areas we came to explore. The staff seemed to be on top of things but not overly friendly.

Modern decor, quiet, near ice machine and pool area. Friendly staff. Breakfast was better than expected, eggs, sausage, usual continental breakfast menu.

The room was sorta clean, it had broken tiles in the bathroom, the table was dirty and sticky, it was cheap and the AC worked so its fine, just not great.
