Instagram picture worthy, amazing big rooms, pool and service. They were really friendly and helpful. Cleanliness was a big plus! Food was good, depending on the dish. Good safety. Good Airconditioning and mosquito treatment.

Our first stay at this resort was a wonderful one. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was very good. You get about six choices for breakfast and a fruit platter and juice of the day are included. There is a bar and restaurant on site that you pay extra, but we enjoyed both very much. Prices are reasonable. The sunsets are breathtaking, and the beach and ocean are easily accessible. Our room was comfortable and air conditioned.

This cozy beachside resort offers a peaceful, serene escape with exceptional service. The owner, Loay, is incredibly hospitable and always available on WhatsApp to attend to any needs including your meal order, excursion plans etc. (I have yet to see this service at another resort). Rufina, the friendly and attentive waitress, made every meal enjoyable. Unlike other resorts, this one has fewer hawkers, allowing for a more relaxed experience. It’s the perfect spot for relaxation, with a personal touch that makes you feel right at home. Highly recommended!

The rooms are stunning- spacious and beautiful design. The bed was very comfortable too. The bathtub in the room was a very nice touch. The staff were amazing, always polite and friendly. The restaurant could also accommodate my gluten-free diet for breakfast. This was one of our best hotel experiences ever.

"Where travelers meet their ultimate experience" What I, my family, and friends loved the most about Marafiki was the hospitality. It was absolutely more than what we expected. The establishment is located right on the beachfront with an incredible view as you gaze from the bar over the pool with a cocktail in your hand. The rooms were clean and stylish, decorated with island-style fixtures,- charming and refreshing. At night you can hear the lemurs and if you are lucky even spot one. Many days were spent beside the pool with music softly in the background, you ooze into your beach chair as the sun gently strokes over your skin. It's monsoon season during the month of April and some would say not the best season to visit, but I disagree. It's actually the best time with not many tourists and you experience more scenery, culture, and food. Marafiki Bungalows provides a great setup,- catering for couples, friends, and families. With a menu for every day and an exciting lineup with live music and entertainment, we had no choice, but to stay in and be part of the fun. We had our children with us, and they couldn't get enough of the pool( baby pool too), and also the toys Marafiki provides that helped a lot. The resort also provides kayak boats, life jackets, and water shoes for exploring alongside the beach. My brother-in-law proposed in the spa which overlooks the ocean with small sea shells that hang from the arch, and to top things off, -we had our friend's wedding at Marafiki! Lanterns, shells, and little stones create a pathway to the altar. Just imagine it...These special events were made all possible by the incredible staff, Ester, Michal, and Justina. And let's not forget the rest of the team. The kitchen, the gardeners that cheerfully greet you every morning" Jambo!" The waiters and a special thank you to Sunshine- Who keeps smiling. Pongwe Beach Hotel is embedded in a beautiful tropical garden and situated right at the beach. We‘ve loved its secluded location, the beach is not accessible during high tide and that means that you don‘t get bothered by beach boys as much (rarely ever, to be honest). We‘ve had a beach front room that was literally a stone‘s throw away from the beach, it couldn‘t have been any more convenient! The room was spacious and spotless, also our 14yr old daughter had a full single bed to use. The turn down service in the evening is something you don‘t usually see in that category, so we were pleasantly surprised. Another nice touch is the option to order early morning coffee / tea, that gets quietly delivered to your terrace from 07:00 am onwards, so as an early bird you can enjoy your first cup of coffee on the daybed of your room terrace and enjoy the wonderful beach view whilst others are still sleeping. We‘ve booked half board and were not disappointed - the menu was very diverse, each day you could choose between meat / fish / vegetarian options for your main course. There‘s a buffet twice a week as well, plus evening entertainment on 2 days, we‘ve enjoyed both very much! The staff is most welcoming and attentive, no matter if housekeeping, restaurant, reception….as a guest you feel your presence is appreciated and every wish is taken care of. I usually never book 3-star hotels, but with this one got tempted because of its exceptional reviews - and they are all true, so can highly recommend and would definitely stay there again!
