The staff and dedication to detail was outstanding. The place is very well taken care of and the food was excellent. We got upgraded to the newly built rooms. The area was quiet and the balcony was overlooking the sea. We felt like we were in paradise!! They made a big effort to make it eco friendly, which we loved. We will definitely go back! It is a beautiful place, well organized and very friendly and considerate staff. They remember your names, likes and dislikes when it comes to food - we were really impressed We tried different activities at the dive centre and had a great time. They also have a very comfy lounge area to chill and escape the heat.

We just finished our 3 day stay in Mafia and at Mafia Island Bungalows : it was a lovely stay, all-round : beautiful space for the house, comfortable terrace, perfect bedroom (Upendo - very nicely decorated with local flair, loved it), great bathroom… everything fine! The place is overall very quiet as it sits a little away from the road at the entrance of the Marine Park. We did not meet the owners, who where on a trip off the island : however, they took the time to check-in with us every single day, and it was much appreciated. We also would like to adress a great shout out to the staff : Hassan was very available, without being « too present » / just the right balance; and there is an amazing Chef on premises: we loved the breakfasts and even more the diners! The homemade bread and Chapatis, the soups, the mains and the deserts… everything was delicious ! Well done, we whole-heartedly recommend staying with you when visiting Mafia and hope to come again one day ☺️

Meremata and the staff were very helpful and attentive, always anticipating what you might need and able to help out with any request apt tasks I had on the island from getting massage to booking plane tickets to getting transport.

Simply love this place! Everyone in the staff help you get the best experience on mafia island. They arrange great tours that we really enjoyed. Best experience by far was the whale shark snorkeling. The place is small with few bungalows which make the place really friendly where everyone says hello to each other. The location is also great close to the beach and Kilindoni and the airport. Theres a bar and smaller restaurant which serves great food. Really recommend this place!

The property has a wonderful pool, and large, clean, modern rooms with air conditioning. The staff, especially Hamidu at the front desk were kind and really helped make our stay very comfortable. You could easily walk from the airport to the hotel, but the hotel will happily arrange transport for a fee. We organised our whale shark and full day snorkelling through the hotel and they were both fantastic! The whale shark tour started a 7min Tuktuk ride away, while the snorkelling tour was about half an hour away to the marine park on other side which means you have to pay the marine fee. Worth it. And nice to stay on the side where you don’t need to pay the fee everyday. The activities needed to be paid in cash, but the hotel and meals can be paid with card. There’s an ATM around short walk away. The restaurant is good, a loved the banana milkshake!

The location such a beautiful place near the beach every thing was fantastic the rooms luxury very clean I love it the food all was fantastic.
