Truly one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in. I’ve travelled the world and stayed in many top hotels, but something about this place was unique and had me smiling from start to end. After a long safari, this place was simply heaven. So many amazing unique aspects of the hotel and I hope the owner and team get the success they deserve from this place. Amazing decor/style Top staff - especially the owner. Kind, polite, helpful, friendly. No request was too much. Food was great Rooms were so cool, stylish, comfortable and unique Chilled atmosphere Amazing views (but we were actually unlucky with the weather) I’d recommend this stay to anyone in the area, either doing mountain hike or safari.

Wonderful houses in an oasis-like environment. Beautifully maintained garden. Extremely friendly staff. They really take good care of you as a guest. Not far from the bustle of Moshi, you can take a tuk-tuk for around $5.00 to get the city.

We liked so much our 1st stay that we came back for a second time. We stayed in the Deluxe room with direct access to the swimming pool. The room is amazing and so spacious. More Than A Drop (MTAD) is an oasis in Moshi. I stayed for about a week in February 2025. MTAD is located just outside of Moshi. Although I mostly just walked to town tuk tuks or motorcycle rides come by every minute or two. Ths staff are friendly and helpful. They accomodated any request including 5 AM breakfast. Milli arranged for transportation and advised on tours. The breakfast and dinners were delicious offering traditional local dishes as well as conventional favorites. Especially mango sorbet! Much is grown in the gardens. Everything is prepared in house, including fresh baked breads and cakes in the morning. The facility is spotlessly clean. I spent many hours relaxing in the shade on a setee or sipping cold lager on the patio. My time there will be remembered as a hilight of my trip.

Words cannot describe this place, you have to come and experience it for yourself! After our safari, we were exhausted, but also longed for some activity before continuing on to Zanzibar. That's why a few days in Moshi was exactly the right decision for us! We have not regretted this decision: Tulivu Retreat lives up to its name: we were really able to switch off 100% and enjoy our time here. Never before have we been so warmly welcomed and never before have we stayed in such wonderful accommodation. The pictures can't do the place justice, it's just incredible: from the architecture of the houses, the decor, the fantastic food and the extensive tropical gardens. I'm sure you won't find anywhere else in the area that is as beautiful. The activities we booked (mountain bike tour in the "Rau Forest", hike to the Materuni Waterfalls and Chemka Hot Springs) were also just great. Too bad we couldn't stay longer: There is so much more to see and we would have loved to extend our stay. Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful stay. We will be back.

An excellent choice for staying in Moshi! Clear views of Kilimanjaro from the top floor and very nice, comfortable rooms. The property owner, Gabriel was very helpful and attentive in making sure my stay was an enjoyable one. The food and restaurant service was very good. Exceptional value for money here. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again on a return trip to Moshi.

Breakfast was extensive - lots of hot and cold options, but local and western style. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Wifi was strong enough to stream videos and make video calls for work. Apart for a few brief (1-2 minute) power outtages one day (stayed for 4) of my stay, wifi was flawless. Aircon worked really well and consistently. Staff were very friendly and polite. Restaurant was really delicious (the Fish curry - amazing!). Hotel is walking distance (~10-15 mins) to good restaurants and souvenir shops. Loved my stay.
