Very pleasant space for rest and relaxation, extremely clean and tidy rooms. We especially want to praise the owner Mariola as well as the friendly staff who are always smiling and ready to help, near to the beach, very tasty food. We recommend it to young people and families with children because here you get everything you need. We will definitely come back again in Tiande Hotel 🤩🤩🤩

Amazing small boutique hotel on a beautiful part of the island. It really felt like home away from home. The staff is very personal and eager to make your stay memorable. Beautiful beach 1 minute walk. Breakfast was divers fresh and delicious. The property itself is beautiful and well maintained. You really arrive in a tropical paradise. We had a very relaxed stay and wish to come back. Highly recommend!! Thansk again to all staff 😎.

The location is great, very quiet beach and no beach boys :) Our room was amazing, very big, on the second floor with a nice sea view . Breakfast is delicious , with chapati ( a home made flat bread from Zanzibar) , nice pancakes , fruit, fresh coffee, eggs …staff really nice , I forgot something in the room during check out and my away back to collect the luggage the cleaner reminde me and gave me back :) They have beach towels , swimming pool, free parking…

The location of the hotel was amazing, right at the beach, we got to spend time by the beach, Anna, one of the hospitality managers at the hotel was amazing, she went ahead and arrange beach toys for the kids. We asked them to arrange just a birthday dinner table at the beach, they went over and above our expectations by doing a proper setup for the party including decorations! That was exceptional! Christopher was also a great host, from the time we called him to mention about our booking to the last day, he was very supporting. All staff were kind and very helpful serving with a smile. Being a large group with over 8 kids and 12 adults, we all had a very wonderful stay at Mambo Beach Resort. Thank you very much for the great hospitality.

The hotel is situated directly on a fine, sandy beach with emerald blue water. As a special feature of this location, during low tide, the ocean retracts so far that a mile-wide range of the sea falls dry, and one can walk far outside on the sand, watching sea stars, sea urchins (don't forget proper plastic shoes! :) ) and other animals. The entire service team, lead by Ahmed, treated us extremely well and friendly, especially Fausta and her colleagues from the restaurant team and Maria, who organized games and excursions into the sand bank during low tide, and Khamis, who presented the evening shows. They all fascinated us with their friendly mood. We also took several excursions to the surroundings to watch dolphins, giant turtles on prison island and monkeys. These excursions can be booked on the spot or also beforehand. All this made a perfect vacation with many impressions.

Amazing location, right on the beach. Large sea-facing room on 1st floor has the most spectacular terrace we’ve seen - around 30 m2 overlooking the beach, with water few meters from the hotel. Room and the terrace occupies entire front of the building, so guests enjoy total privacy.

    Generally, a lovely and intimate establishment with staff that care for your personal needs. The manager is so friendly and always wants to know how the guests are doing. The most beautiful sunrises. The performances add to the spice. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

    The nearby beaches are scenic, but there are some important things to consider. The ocean is full of sea urchins, making swimming risky without proper footwear. During the day, low tide pulls the water far from the shore, so swimming may not always be possible. If you walk toward the reef, expect to be approached frequently by local beach vendors, which can feel intrusive — especially when you're clearly not carrying money. Local security presence is minimal, so don't expect much intervention in these situations. It's best to come prepared and manage your expectations if you're looking for a peaceful swim.

    This part of Zanzibar offers a quieter, more serene setting compared to some of the more tourist-heavy areas. One of the things we appreciated most was that we weren’t constantly approached by local vendors, allowing us to fully relax and soak in the peaceful atmosphere.

    Authentic village. We didn't want to be in a resort. The villagers were so friendly and wanted nothing in return apart from a hello back. There is a little shop just outside the gate for water etc. We got fruit for smoothies from the fruit stall in the village, they also sold sprite etc, there was a mobile shop and two lovely seafood restaurants. Our favourite was Mzuri run by a really friendly guy Hassan, wonderful succulent seafood. We loved it. It was just what we were looking for - authentic and local. The road is not graded, but I walk with a stick and it was fine for me. A few stretches were unlit but we take head torches.

    The food was OK, the room was massively spacious and i loved it ,staff were friendly despite communication breakdown in most instances due to language barriers. Mr Betrand was so sweet a staff he made our stay so memorable always caring and bringing out the best out of us. Remo the property manager was awesome 👌

    Wonderful hotel with most friendly and attentive staff. Superb breakfast and dinner with great variety and high quality food. Excellent live band and amazing variety shows for guests at dinner. Soft fine sandy beach and plenty to explore on the reef during low tide. Spacious restaurant with excellent fresh fruit juices counter and live cooking stations. Very well maintained garden and beautiful landscape all around the hotel grounds.
