This is the perfect lodge to escape the usual bubble of Tanzania safari tourism. The lodge is run by the in partnership of the Watoto Foundation, which actively improves and improves the life of street children in Tanzania. - Food was good and prepared with love and care. - Breakfast was great, lot of fresh fruit, eggs to order and big portion - Dinner was served in multiple courses. All nice, daily changing menu - The lodge is run by solar energy so expect romantic lighting and a positive feeling of remoteness. My highlights were: - Coffee walk with local guide and women from the neighbouring village preparing coffee from green bean to roasting and brewing while singing Tanzania songs. - Reading, meditation and spending time in the Tea room with view on the picture perfect swamp… waiting for the hippo to come by. - Looking at the sky at night while sitting by the outside fireplace - Visit of the neighbouring National park

I only stayed one night upon arriving in the area. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It located off the main road but in easy walking distance to small shops and other conveniences. Thank you Godwin for the very interesting walking safari through the nearby forest. Airport pick up available any time.

OYA Guest House is a charming place conveniently located near the airport, making it perfect for late flight arrivals. We landed at 11:30pm on the Air France flight and had to leave early the next morning for a safari. We couldn’t have wished for a better place to rest before our adventure! It’s just a 30-minute drive from the airport, with comfortable and spotless rooms, and the hosts are absolutely wonderful. We’ll be recommending it to all our friends!
