Puli is the smart place to base yourself if you want to visit multiple attractions in the region (Sun Moon Lake, Hehuanshan, Qingjing Farm, etc). After work, I take the Kuo-Kuang Bus to Puli, and it's about a 10-minute walk from the drop-off point. Even if it's late, they are very careful to check the chenk in and give suggestions for the next trip.
