FAQs about hotels in Istanbul

The Best of Asia and Europe

The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. The amazing Old Town and the Sultanahmet are home to iconic Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. More history is hidden in the Topkapi Palace, where you can glimpse the splendour and opulence of Turkey’s Ottoman heritage.

Take a stroll through the historic centre or the bustling Taksim Square before watching the sun set behind countless mosques and minarets. Local fish markets and numerous restaurants lining the bridge to Galata offer the Golden Horn’s daily catch.

If you prefer the fine art of bargaining to fine art, lose yourself in the Grand Bazar and maybe you’ll emerge with a hookah, some Turkish coffee, or even a carpet. The Spice Bazar further immerses you in the sights, smells, and tastes of Turkish culture.

Getting to Istanbul is an easy trip from Ataturk International Airport or Sabiha Gokcen Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel on the Asian side or a budget hostel in Taksim Square, Booking.com has over 1,000 great accommodations for your holiday in Istanbul.

Istanbul is an amazing city, but very overcrowded.

Istanbul is an amazing city, but very overcrowded. Overcrowdedness was especially felt at places like Topkapi (couldn't enjoy it). Strongly recommend to visit Dolmabahce Sarayi, have short (1 hour) Bosphorus tour from Ortakoy, visit Asian side, enjoy cuisine. Public transportation is very convenient with trams, ferries, metro, buses and etc.

The city is beautifull full of colour and kind people , police present everywhere but I can say I never ear in one week the sirens of theme....in certain way is for sure caotic city but enough clean and the Bus ,metro and ferryboats are modern ,comfortable and clean. very few homeless . from airport Sabiha Gocan( Asia side) you can get to Kadikoy port just with 1 direct metro in cca 1 hour and than Ferryboat to Eminonu which departures are every 15-20 minuts and take to arrive on European side of the city just 15-20 minuts too. once in Eminonu you are practically in the center ,just 3 stop by tram T1 to Sultanhamet ( Agya Sofia ) .in 5 minuts.....I so from airport Sabiah Gocen take to the center cc 1,5 hour but very smooty the trip and comfortable.

There are so many places to go and many things to see in Istanbul, the city never stops to amaze, with new developments popping up everywhere. Most importantly, you can never have enough of visiting the different mosques of the city and seeing how each one differs from the other, both on the inside and the outside.

Istanbul is an incredible city — full of history, beauty, and energy. I loved visiting the main landmarks such as Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, and Hagia Sophia, each one breathtaking in its own way. I also enjoyed wandering in the less touristy areas like Kadikoy with local life atmosphere. The food is delicious everywhere, from small street stalls to traditional restaurants, and the city’s location by the sea makes it even more special. A truly unforgettable destination!

Nothing, because all the negative experiences ruined my experience of visiting Istanbul, I will never stay here again. Also, don't book any excursions with the hotel, they pocket huge amounts of the profits.. For Bosphorus boat tour they tried charging me an extortionate 500 USD per person at first for booking through the hotel. Being a tourist from the UK, they try to sell the best boats Istanbul has to offer to you, but in reality you'll get a boat worth 10 euros at the maximum. Be careful of these deceitful tactics!

Exceptionally elegant contemporary interior design throughout the premises. Professionally and highly trained welcoming and very polite and helpful staff. Micheline star worthy restaurant and room service. Spotless cleanliness across the board. Breath taking spa , very well equipped and spacious gym. Best value for money by country miles out of my hundreds of stays at 5 star hotels across the world, I’ll definitely stay there every time I go to Istanbul.

Amazing location, just next to Taksim square. Room is newly furbished and very clean. Very close to bus shuttles which go to airport, also close to Istanbul metro. Hotel staff was also friendly and helpful. If you are in Istanbul for couple of days and looking for a central hotel just to sleep, perfect choice.
