It was beautiful experience to stay in this house. Higly recomendable. Hotel is in the historical berber village in the mountains. The rooms are eranged in original Berber Triglodite house. Interior is decorated super nice. View from terrace fantastic. Property is clean, hot water in the shower. very good trsditional breakfast. It is family operating house, so we feel like at home. Owners are very friendly. Speak english.They invite us for the dinner, prepared by family woman. It was so delicious. Brothers Fadi and Aimin are good gides, know area and the history of village, they arrange very interesting tour around the village, including to see original( not rebuild) berber underground (Tiglodite) house. If You are interesting in real historic things, this property will be fantastic place for You.

Absolutely amazing experience in a proper berber setting. Authentic, warm and very clean. Massive room for two of us, private bathroom. Very impressed. Beautiful setting, peaceful and tranquil, awesome open air courtyard to sit under the stars. 5 min walk to star wars site, lovely peaceful picturesque walk. Cleaning staff and other day staff friendly and helpful and smiling.

The host is very friendly, hospitable, and helpful. I felt very comfortable and at home staying the night here. The rooms are also very interesting, since they are traditional dwellings carved in the Earth. It felt like staying in another world. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Welcoming and kind hosts. Very clean and comfortable room in a very quiet but central location. Fantastic breakfast to set you up for the day whilst exploring the plentiful sights in the area. Would also highly recommend you have dinner here…delicious and wholesome traditional meal, you definitely won’t go hungry! It must be the best place to stay in Matmata :-)))

A unique experience, highly recommended! Habib and his family were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were also (by far) the best meals we've had during our entire 10-day trip across Tunisia. Would definitely make a point of returning there if we make it to this part of the world again.

The flat is a hidden gem, everything was super new and very clean. It is very well decorated and equipped. We had everything we needed such as coffee machine, plates, washing machine, hob, airconditionning and heating, duvets and towels. We felt spoilt with the fresh breakfast delivered to our door, we had a variety of food that kept us full all day along with coffee and fresh juice. The area is super safe, we walked around at night, and it felt very safe. The host were very kind and helpful, the let us in and kept asking if we need anything, we felt very welcome. There are great restaurants and coffee places few minutes away. It is highly recommended to stay in this luxury spot to explore Matmata, and to visit the Troglodyte homes and to discover the impressive veiws of the mountains around. The flat has great views over the mountains. We will definitely come back again to discover the whole area around Matmata.

Big kind welcome by Joseph. He understood what two weary cyclist needed after a day in 35+ temperatures. Even let us choose from two big apartments and threw in a free breakfast at five!! In the morning so we could start pedaling in agreeable temperatures.. big 10 out of 10
