Perfect room, with a great bed and shower, breakfast in the mornings was delicious and quick, the owner and his wife are amazing, so helpful with information about the island and the best places to go! Even taught me how to use a moped and I hired one through the hotel as well. Location is great 5-10 min drive on the bike to most things you want to see and do on the island. Couldn’t recommend enough

Don't sleep on this place, it is absolutely magical. The women who we interacted with (who ran the place?) were very kind and relaxed. The taxi from the ferry dropped us off at the wrong place (Bang Magkok) and the women at Baan Bua came and got us! We also accidentally locked our key in the safe, and again they rescued us. The food they serve is AMAZING. The atmosphere is AMAZING. They had all the small touches like towels, a cover up and a beach blanket in a wicker bag for us to use (free). Air conditioner works amazing. Bed is so comfy. Room is large. Extremely clean. We stayed at another hotel after this, and despite that hotel being directly on a gorgeous beach... we STILL loved Baan Bua more! Just make sure you can ride a motorbike because you will need them to get around (they're automatic transmission and 250 thb rental from them a day). We rented 2 and it didn't take us long to travel to the various beaches. I have traveled a lot around the world, and this hotel is in my top 10 for sure. THANK YOU BAAN BUA!

Koh Kood is a genuine hidden gem.

Koh Kood is a genuine hidden gem. The tropical beaches have crystal clear water and there are some great snorkeling spots if you look hard enough. Make sure you get down to The Fisherman Hut and mention Whimsical Tricycle to the owner, Tom. He will know what you mean. Enjoy! But keep it secret. Keep it safe.

We already went twice.

We already went twice. It is my favourite island in Thailand. Easy to reach from Bangkok and very good value! Most beautiful nature and quiet. An adventure to bike around the island. Excellent seafood!

Koh Kood was absolutely stunning.

Koh Kood was absolutely stunning. The beaches are beautiful, very peaceful, and not crowded like other islands. It’s a true gem in the otherwise quite touristy Thailand. The island has retained its charm and natural beauty. The only downside was the presence of many sandflies on the beaches. Their bites can be bothersome, but fortunately, they do not transmit any diseases.

I really enjoyed riding a scooter around visiting different shops and restaurants on the island. I highly recommend the Ao Yai fisherman village and Noochy seafood and the Good Day Koh Kood for smoothies and mango sticky rice!

This is the place that is definitely for people who want a very quiet serene holiday. The people on the island are so friendly. The main, I will say resorts but think of them as little oasis’s’ Are spread over only half of the island, with beautiful beaches so if you’re looking for any type of nightlife (except eating out) this is not the island for you. It’s beautiful and unspoilt. You can only get around with motorbike / scooters and open back vehicles. There is no public transport and taxis for us were difficult to get.

Everything about this place is great, there is a shop 2 minutes down the road plus restaurants. You're close to one of the waterfalls, the beaches aren't too far and the owner j is a gem. One of the best welcome receptions I've had throughout Thailand and I've been many times. He's been the best host possible and he literally couldn't do more to help. Definitely made a friend. Apart from being super friendly, the place is very clean and has everything you could need. I would definitely come again. 12 out of 5 ⭐

OK, we all know at this price it's not a 5 star resort :-). However you get more than expected for the price you pay. Spacious, clean room, well away from the road and really close to the beach. On top of that an excellent host - Chris will introduce you to everyone and give you all the tips and help you need. The place has great food - I'm totally in love with the cucumber salad. I strongly recommend Chor Chaba.

Amazing nature! Swimming and snorkeling around the hotel is like being in an aquarium. There was actually better snorkeling by the resort than in the islands nearby. Amazing exclusive beach across the resort 2 minutes swimming away or with kayak. Great staff and amazing cocktails by the bar!!
