My first accommodation on a month-long journey through El Salvador exceeded all my expectations. CASA V is a stunning, design-forward container project, with a giant mango tree in the yard that makes the whole space smell deliciously sweet. The place is cared by a beautiful, kind lady who makes you feel like at home. My cozy little room was just perfect – super comfy mattress, really nice energy around, and the option to order a typical breakfast for just five bucks, served with a smile and a good coffee, if you wish so. The water pressure in the shower was great, and the location? Just 20 steps from the most beautiful beach in El Salvador. I absolutely fell in love with this country thanks to this place. It was the best possible way to start my journey here. Leaving is hard, but I already can’t wait to come back.

A paradise! The place feels like a small resort as it’s built in a way that every room is an independent building with each own sitting area and all around is a garden. The pool is the main attraction with a view on the beach. Beach is kind of private for the hostel together with the neighboring properties. International food with different options and you can eat anywhere you want. Value for money can’t be beaten! Paid 36$ for a 4 bed dorms with breakfast include (and there’s also 8 bed doormat for 20$). It’s a luxury for a bargain and I really felt I got a great deal. Alex the volunteer was super kind and made me feel welcomed from the first moment.

A good location for a stress-free stay in Taquillo, Shalpabay - Rooms is a guest house surrounded by views of the mountain.
