Overexceeded expectations. Very spacious (70m2) and extremely cozy house. It's been renovated from an older one into a modern and very cute house. It is very well equipped, comes with a full kitchen with a cooktop, bathroom, huge bedroom and a living room. The host speaks very good English and is very kind and helpful. The flat-screen TV even has Netflix. The location is good, in the centre of the village and close to the hiking trails, but tucked away enough so that it is silent for a relaxing stay.

We booked the night before our stay, we got a quick verification and a quick notification on when we could check in. The host had some great tips on what to do. The host also has rental bikes for a great price. The beds are comfortable, there is enough space for 8 people and a kitchen to match. There are great views and sites in the surroundings, and it has been an amazing experience.

The hosts were extremely kind and attentive: upon arrival, they welcomed us with a bottle of wine, delicious coffee made by their coffee machine, and even cookies. It was especially memorable that we traveled with our dogs, and they were warmly welcomed as well, while we, of course, respected the pet policies of the accommodation. The property was exceptionally clean and tastefully furnished, with seasonal decorations that enhanced the ambiance. I can wholeheartedly recommend it, as I rarely get disappointed by a booking. Simply a fantastic place where peace, calm, and nature merge with superb infrastructure.

    A beautiful small village on the edge of the Velka Fatra...

    A beautiful small village on the edge of the Velka Fatra national park, one of the most scenic parts of Slovakia. Easy access to hiking, with bike and electric scooter hire available from several places in the village. Basic shopping facilities (if you're self-catering), but the towns of Martin & Turcianska Teplice are close by, with supermarkets. If you don't have a car, you'll be reliant on the local bus service that takes you to Martin (or, with a change, Turcianska Teplice). From Martin there are excellent rail connections.

    Really nice village, specially through summer.

    Really nice village, specially through summer. Close to the mountains, nice area for mountain biking, with plenty of place to rent ebikes. What I missed is some restaurant in the village, maybe I didn't checked them all.
