Absolutely gorgeous, historic accommodation in the heart of Strängnäs. You can see the Domkyrka bell tower from the bedroom window and it’s a short walk to the harbour and windmill (well worth a tour—it’s free and the guides are fantastic). Henrik and Isa have thought of every comfort and are incredibly obliging hosts. The bed is possibly the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. Strängnäs itself is adorable. Its location on Mälaren makes for a beautiful outlook, there are cafes, restaurants and boutiques. There are shops, pubs and swimming spots. The train takes you to Stockholm in less than an hour and it’s not too far to Mariefred and Gripsholms Slott. I mean, what’s not to love? Henrik and Isa have good recommendations to suit your needs. You should stay here!

Such a wonderful stay at this well-equipped, ground floor apartment right in the middle of the historic old town of Strängnäs. Parking was possible right in front of the apartment which is not to be taken for granted in the old town. Everything of interest is within a short walking distance, the downtown area, the harbor and the cathedral. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice little town with a location by Lake Mälaren and the beautiful Cathedral. Beautiful promenade. Nice to sit at the outdoor cafes by the harbor. Fun with children and young people who participated in the summer activities next to the restaurants, it was lively!

The old town around the cathedral was outstanding with all the old houses, both private and those belonging to the church. A very nice and genuine atmosphere. I didn't get to see much else but it's certainly a nice summer town with its location on Lake Mälaren.

Strängnäs in midsummer 🙃 very closed like any city that weekend. Nice environment. Preferably the old parts in and around the harbor. Recommend hotel Laurentius. Worn out yes but so charming.

An overlooked jewel in Sweden, an incredibly well-preserved cathedral, a bishop's castle, a library that dates back to the 14th century----fine town houses and a quiet, nice city life. Plus Mälaren, By bus and train to Gripsholm Castle if you want.

We moved rooms after the first night. Both beds were very small but very comfortable. The bathrooms were the main problem. There is no access to hotel management between 9 a 1500. I don’t understand why they Jace chosen. I access to management but it is very unorthodox and needs re. Thinking. Also the smaller rooms that view the car park all seem to need decorating/ upgrading. They are not good at all.

Unique ambience of the BEAUTIFUL SWEDISH OLD HOUSE, best location that close to the main tourism objects in Strängnas (the windmollen, the old church, the harbour, city central, ICA/grocery stores, and various restaurants)
