We slept very well. I loved the one big room that was basically full floor under the rooftop. Well equipped as well. Nice countryside experience. Good to place to stay half way from Stockholm to Göteborg.

Super cozy room clean and fresh.

Super cozy room clean and fresh. Nice host who met us when we arrived and showed us around. Missing small bedside tables by the bed, otherwise everything was very good. The outdoor environment was picturesque, would love to come here again.

Nice atmosphere.

Nice atmosphere. Small restaurants, a place with live music, good atmosphere. Local food like smoked fish. Stalls with leather crafts, wood carvings. Fascinating to watch the boat traffic through the locks.

That you could open the door and immediately get fresh air.

That you could open the door and immediately get fresh air. However, we had a hard time finding a place to eat in the evening at 7 pm. It was full everywhere and the grill was just closing. We had to buy packaged food and eat on the hostel terrace

Beautiful place with several restaurants and accommodation...

Beautiful place with several restaurants and accommodation options. The canal restaurant served good food and from the veranda you could see the lock area at sunset. Handicraft shop. To see the boats being locked and maybe cycle along the canal.

We only stayed in Sjötorp for three days, but we felt very...

We only stayed in Sjötorp for three days, but we felt very comfortable during that short time. The view of Lake Vettern was particularly beautiful, even from our cabin in bad weather. The campsite team was very friendly and we were able to communicate in German.

I love Sjötorp. Quiet and peaceful little community.

I love Sjötorp. Quiet and peaceful little community. Can really recommend Kanalkrogen. Wonderful staff, fast service and very good food with decent portions. We left the car and walked around instead. The little craft shop is a must when you are here as well as a round of mini golf. Unfortunately the locks seemed to be basically closed for the season and we missed that (11-13/8).
