This was our second time at the same hotel, so we knew what to expect and how good a place it is to stay in the city. The hotel room gives you a cosy and almost homely accommodation. The room was spacious, instead of an extra bed there was a bunk bed, which is more comfortable compared to standard extra beds. We were nicely surprised by the well-equipped and well-maintained children's play area. Breakfast was rich, the lobby bar was open late but the rooms were completely quiet. The hotel has a very good restaurant with a terrace overlooking the neighbouring park. The park itself is beautiful and large, we appreciated the children's playground. The hotel provided plenty of facilities in the lobby and elsewhere for people to relax or work, there were also board games available. Overall the hotel highly exceeded our expectations.

Linkoping is nice, Have been there a couple of times over the years visiting my daughter. This time I stayed at Scandic between trains as the location is excellent - close to the railway station and the city centre. I would stay there again if I get a cool room. I did stay there again 27 - 28/7 and got a cool room facing the street thanks to Abbe. He was very helpful and interacted very nicely with family with children at check-in. Abbe gets *****!

Linköping's charm lies in its peaceful atmosphere and proximity to nature. However, the long, dark winters can take a toll, and the city's nightlife and cultural offerings may not satisfy those seeking a more vibrant urban experience. While the city is well-connected to other parts of Sweden, public transportation can be limited outside of peak hours.

Nice city. Go watch three times national champions Linköping FC play football, if you have the time. The former club of Pernille Harder, Magdalena Eriksson, Kosovare Asslani and Lina Hurtig among others. Watch the stars of tomorrow!

This city is just the right size for a "home vacation"...

This city is just the right size for a "home vacation" stayover: great bars and restaurants and plenty of sights and activities, but small enough to avoid flooding by tourists. The Air Force museum is a must, and there are plenty of parks for picnics and people-spotting. Also, you can kayak down the main stream or try the cable wakeboard facility. The Valla open air museum offers both rural scenery and curious museums.

I liked the reception staff, who were very friendly and helpful, both the one who checked me in and (in particular) the one who checked me out. I also liked the breakfast spread, which was well presented and good with plenty of variety. Room was nice and quiet. The price was very reasonable, but then Sweden is surprising reasonably priced in general, these days.
