Breakfast is so good, cabin is so clean and warm. Everything was excellent. Hotel's location is super in order to see aurora. Also you can see sunset around of the hotel. Hotel staff very helpful and smiling. I advise you eating reindeer and potatoes in the Camp Ripan restaurant.

We were in Kiruna on an extremely short visit to experience the Northern lights (Aurora). We had early morning 6:00 a.m flight next day and would not be around during the breakfast timing. Understanding this the staff packed for us a generous breakfast meal box so that we don’t travel empty stomach early morning. It was very thoughtful of the team and made our stay memorable. The room, linens, toilets etc is neat, tidy and clean. Price also reasonable in comparison with other properties in Kiruna. 5 star for the Stay and experience.

Very good hotel that was close to my expectations. The staff was very friendly before and during my stay! The rooms were very nice and clean with very comfy beds and pillows. Breakfast included in the price that was super tasty and nice with many options! Location was perfect between the old and new center! Bus station is 1 min on foot from the hotel.

Excellent location, super clean, fully equipped, Tony and his wife are helpful with every detail whenever you need anything regarding your stay or other activities. We felt truly comfortable with our 5 year old. Igloos are small by nature but not to worry because the main house is fully equipped, very clean and comfortable. Definitely would recommend and would like to come back for sure.

Kiruna is a beautiful place with extraordinary winterscapes during the day and even more so on a moonlight night.. The cherry in the top was the extraordinary experience of being blessed by aurora corona and aurora borealis sighting every night we were there .. More over the museum explaining sami culture and giving us sn opportunity to be amongst reindeer was so soulful.. the extraordinary sculptures of ice and snow at the ice hotel , their classic warming drink in ice glasses was something else .. needless to say , it is a ‘must experience ‘ place.

Walking through the woods outside the town was the best...

Walking through the woods outside the town was the best thing for us - especially seeing the first sunrise of the year! Not a lot to see in Kiruna itself, but the Ice Hotel and the Sami museum at Jukkasjarvi are a short bus ride away. We would have liked to have visited Kiruna Church, but it's being moved! It was at Kiruna where we got our best view of the Northern Lights. We enjoyed burgers at the Empes place in Kiruna, but mostly cooked for ourselves as we had our own kitchen. There is a ski slope but it looks very limited.

Kiruna is a weird town that is in the midst of being moved due to the mine expanding. It is very difficult to get around without a car, there are buses but taxis are extortionately priced & buses don’t go everywhere! There’s a lovely little ski field but we had to walk there as no public transport to get to it, it’s bizarre that it’s not promoted more for tourists. We had the best time dog sledding with Arctic Dog Sled and the food at Spill Saluhall & Eatery was delicious.

Staff a front desk could be a little friendlier, shower curtain a little longer. Orientation to first time visitors could be more comprehensive as we did not even told that there was a gym (only a spa).

They are moving the city so the old city looks like a ghost...

They are moving the city so the old city looks like a ghost town. There is almost nothing to do and you don't see people on the street. Lots of accumulated snow and many fenced areas. The new city is not well established. It looks like a construction site and has few restaurant options. I didn't find any souvenir shops open to buy gifts. The center closes at 3pm and there is nothing to do in the city. I recommend taking trips outside the city, such as sledding, snowmobiling, and not wasting time in the city center until the move is completely completed.

The breakfast is really excellent -- a huge choice of good quality items. The location is very convenient for travelers, with easy access to the airport. The "new centre" of Kiruna is still under construction, so there are currently only a few shops and restaurants nearby, but the hotel's own restaurant serves good food prepared with care, so you need look no further.

Simple hotel /hostel but perfect for a short stay. Rooms are small and clean and had everything I needed. Extemely close to the busstation. The bar downstairs offers a nice variety of drinks. In the evening people gather here to read, chat or play games. The restaurant has been moved to "new Kiruna".

We can see Aurora right at River Camp when the weather is good. In winter, we can walk to Ice Hotel through the iced river and it's pretty safe. There's free shuttle service from airport to River Camp and the host is really friendly.
