Älvdalen is a great place.
Älvdalen is a great place. Too bad the weather wasn't with us when we were there. I've been there with a camper van before and the place has a lot to offer. I wouldn't recommend the hotel there though. Better to rent at the campsite which is nicely located by the river.

Great to live by the Dalälven River.
Great to live by the Dalälven River. Beautiful to hike along the edge. Good road up to Fulufjället National Park, several nice hiking trails that are well worth experiencing. Slightly different mountain nature with waterfalls and flat mountain peaks. Hiking trails well maintained and marked. Crowded in the parking lot even though we were not there in high season.

The breakfast was excellent.
The location in Swedish countryside beautiful and very intriguing
Generally speaking the hotel, that we chose from Athens, without any information in advance was a very nice surprise!
The staff friendly and competent, providing us with all information about the place
Collected local antiquities, by the hotel owners, gave a very special atmosphere to the Hotel
