the property is secluded and within a rural part of Rwanda and is simply magical. 1 day is simply not enough time, i recommend a min. 2 day stay so you can really rest and enjoy the property. there’s lots of nature around you and a lot of activities you can do like kayaking, massage, a community walk and bird watching so there’s plenty that you can do while also ensuring you relax. the food was really amazing, especially the communal dinner, the bed was super comfortable and there was plenty of hot water! honestly there’s nothing to fault - it was the perfect stay.

I had a fantastic solo stay at Ihema Lodge. The bungalows are beautiful with breathtaking views from the bungalow and restaurant! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the chef deserves a special mention, his food was delicious, and he’s truly a wonderful person. Highly recommend this place!

I cannot even express the gratitude I have for people and this place! They went above and beyond, do not hesitate to stay here, dont bother looking anywhere else, this is the place to stay, the rooms are immaculate, they washed our clothes, prepared our food which tasted phenomenal, I dream about the tilapia! They went all out for my husbands birthday, arranged for halal meat! Wow! Couldn't believe it! Best hotel ive ever stayed in, truly and I have travelled the world, they even organised our tour for the national park, exceptional! Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone! Wonderful eco lodge set in 4.5 hectares of gardens, fruit, veg and flowering plants. Great little cabins with everything you could want. Communal meals made you feel right at home. Sitting round the fire after dinner chatting with the owner and people from all over the world!

The service was very good, nice view from the rooms, and the food was very delicious. The personnel helped us with booking a car and guide for the national park and provided us with lunch packages. The Lodge is super close to the south entrance, which was comfortable. We would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the national park.

Absolutely the nicest stay we had in Rwanda. The hotel is located in a centre with local pub, billiards, supermarket, fast food with delicious barbecue and hairdresser. The garden is cozy with seating areas. The hosts, staff and people in the village were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Close to Akagera National Park, the hosts arranged a car and a guided tour. Good breakfast and well-functioning Internet. One of the employees washed and ironed my white shirt. Fantastic stay, highly recommended. Thanks to all the fine people at AKAGERA Neighbors.
