The accommodation is placed in a quite area. We appreciated the small details that were giving a vibe of a peaceful holiday. (the way the towels were placed in a traditional basket, the bedding quality and its placement, we even had a chess set in the livingroom, the kind request for no shoes indoors) The balcony was a dream, warm and cozy in the morning and having a beautiful view of the garden and we also enjoyed watching the ducklings. The guest house is made out of wood and our apartment had a lot of natural light that we appreciated. The host was very helpful with anything we needed. The stay was overall a breathe of fresh air in a quite village.

The whole area is excellent.

The whole area is excellent. There are possibilities for accommodation, meals, walks, interesting tourist attractions. Access from Bucharest is relatively difficult regardless of the route (via Rm. Vâlcea, on Transfăgărășan or via Brașov). After the opening of the highway section from Curtea de Argeș to Boița, access will be much easier.

A dynamically developing small settlement where the residents are trying to take advantage of the interest due to the tourist attractions of the area. Of course, this in a positive sense! Unfortunately, there are not many attractions in the settlement, but within a 30-50 km radius there are many natural sights and hiking opportunities.

We went to Casa Fericirii and Leia2, great people, we felt great, we will come back when possible, thanks, we highly recommend it, in the center of Cartisoara (approximately), there is a very well-stocked store, so food is easy to find, the snacks are very good.

The stay was very short, (approximately 17 hours {26.08.2021 14.10-27.08.2021 0700}), time used exclusively for rest, which was so necessary for the next stage of the journey ~ TRANSFAGARASAN, so I don't really have much to tell you about the town of Cartisoara, except that ... it is a charming, airy, clean town, you can see the care of the residents and the mayors !!!!!!

The host speaks English very well and was wonderful. We didn't find the place and he saw our location on the map and drove to our place to bring us. He was very kind and helpful. The kitchen is great. We cooked and ate there and kept our cold things in the fridge. One should note that in some waze and Google maps program the place is written "cartisoara" and not "cirtisoara". Not in all waze programs you could find casa Simone.

Unfortunately, we arrived late at night, but the staff welcomed us even after check-in hours — thank you so much! The hotel is located in the forest next to a small river, so you can really feel the breath of nature. The beds were very comfortable, the room was quiet, and the location is perfect to start a trip on the Transfăgărășan road.

One in a lifetime experience. Sleeping in ice hotel, from 3 to 4 January 2025, outside was -15°C and snowing full night and in Johannes Brahms was warm and cozy. Great experience!
