My travel to home plan made me choose and stay at Ibis ARAD just yesterday and I couldn’t be more satisfied with my short but good experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always ready to assist with anything I needed even when I was clearly tired and not in the mood for anything than my room key card. Their professionalism was immediately noticed. The hotel’s location is excellent—conveniently situated near key highway, yet in a peaceful area that allows for a relaxing stay. It was the perfect balance between accessibility and tranquility. Cleanliness was another highlight of my visit. The rooms and common areas were spotless, well-maintained, and had a fresh, inviting atmosphere. It was clear that great attention to detail was given to hygiene and comfort. Overall, this hotel provided a wonderful and peaceful stay, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers. I would definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality experience!

Great facility. The room was clean and well maintained. The pool is good size and made our stay even more pleasant. They serve food and drinks by the pool, which was really delicious. The staff is friendly and super helpful. For example: I forgot my shoes and Lavinia organised all the details for delivering them via courier to my next address where I was staying for a month. This was too service! Highly thankful for her service. Their communication via WhatsApp is prompt and they answer all your questions.

Arad is a beautiful city. The city center has beautiful palaces and buildings primarily in the baroque style of architecture. We enjoyed the market and the variety of foods typically eaten in Romania. Arad is centrally located in western Romania which gave us the opportunity to take day trips to experience highlights like Transylvania’s Covin Castle (influenced Bram Stoker’s novel “Dracula”), The Gardens of Zoe, Timisoara, Szeged (Hungary), and The Bear Cave in the Western Carpathian Mountains.

Arad is a charming city with excellent food and service, offering plenty of markets, bars, and restaurants to enjoy. It’s well-connected by transportation to other European cities, making it a great base for travel. The rich architecture, beautiful old buildings, and scenic parks along the river create a lovely atmosphere, and the friendly locals make the experience even more welcoming.

A lot of renovated late 19th and early 20th century eclectic and art nouveau buildings in the center of the town (although if you are an art nouveau fan, Oradea is definitely a better choice). Have a look at the museums at the Palace of Culture (specially the archeological one).

Lovely city with large city facilities yet lots of trees nd a lovely large park and river in the middle of the town. Beware when ordering takeout.... there are not enough couriers available and the promised 25mins delivery time may be 1.5 hours with cold food....

Lovely town with monumental historic buildings and an idylic riverside. Even more could be done with the Mures valley area in terms of eco tourism and leisure options, but hopefully that's all coming. What's more, the people in Arad (as inall of Transylvania, really) are lovely: calm, gentle, helpful, and warm.

Arad is a mid-size city in the west of Romania.

Arad is a mid-size city in the west of Romania. The longer the more, Western influences become more and more visible. A wide variety of Western banking and insurance companies, foodstores that cater to almost every wish, car dealers from Skoda to Jaguar, excellent shopping of every kind - from the modern and exquisite Atrium Mall to the local "Jackson" market, excellent restaurants offering a wide-range of local and international food, and, last but definitely not least, a couple of nice sights, such as the town hall, the Biserica Franciscana, surrounded by the River Mures, and the massive "Holy Trinity" cathedral, a landmark in the town, are musts when stopping in Arad. During the warm days of summer, parks, promenades, open bars and restaurants invite you for a snack or a delicious dinner and if temperatures are getting too hot, you will find cooling at "The Strand" a huge public swimming pool. With the city further renovating old buildings, bringing them back to full glory and with busses and trams connecting the most important parts of town, getting around is easy and cheap ... and, Timisoara, the country's third biggest city, with its beautiful historical town, is just half an hour drive away. Go, visit Arad, it is the perfect stop while travelling from Western Europe towards the Black Sea.

Nice modern hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. I prolonged my stay. Breakfast crew was nicer every fellowing morning, which gave a cosy feeling at the end of my stay. Hotel is a bit out of town, but centre is 30min on foot or 3 tram stops away. Tramway right in the front of hotel. Try to book a room not facing the big front road. Good value for money.

The pension is on big street with many other hotels and appartments, not so far away from one restaurant, grocery store and gas stations. It had own parking spots, the rooms were cozy with A/C what is a must in Arad in summer. It had nice garden for all rooms and helpful hosts. The room had big bed with even bigger TV.
