We loved the position. Great location for walking into the centre. Free parking on site. Supermarket opposite although the breakfast was amazing. We like to buy fruit and water. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly! Bonus in August the hotel swimming pool!

Clean, spacious, well-equipped and quiet apartment, centrally located and the hosts are lovely helpful people. We could not fault this accommodation. Main shopping area is nearby and leads down to restaurants and river front - which can be seen from the balcony, so perfect for the ferry across to Ayamonte. Great for short or long stays as it’s a real home! On street parking, some areas pay and some free. Great location without a car and we thoroughly recommend.

The central square and church is where most things are happening, there are plenty of benches to sit on and watch the evening unfold and plenty of very nice shops to browse in the evening. The town is bigger than you think and has 5 biggish supermarkets. The marina is the best place to see the sun go down but the white sand beach is lovely.

A charming little city, with a lot to discover. The quality of the local food and restaurants is very good. The beach is amazing and perfect for long walks even with an access through a huge natural park.

Great town with many small shops.

Great town with many small shops. Ideal place for purchasing towels and bed linens as you are spoilt for choice. We visited in December and the lights were fabulous, also the miniature Christmas Village cannot be missed and as an added bonus you can take the ferry over to Spain from here.

The newly paved pedestrian thoroughfare was a real bonus. Attractive and very safe to walk. There are a good mix of restaurants. We were there in December and the Christmas market in the square, although not very big, was an added attraction. Vila Real de Santo António is very good for shopping. There is also a marina.

Beautiful waterfront and marina, ideal for strolling. Lovely traditional architecture. Good main shopping street. Lots of good restaurants to suit a range of tastes and budgets. Perfectly maintained and clean streets and squares. Perhaps a generally more grown-up destination.

Wonderful hotel, great location.

Wonderful hotel, great location. The food market was just across the hotel, a supermarket too. Very near the city centre, lots of shops, bars and restaurants. The breakfast was so good, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, fresh fruit and delicatessen, lovely coffee. The personnel staff very friendly, bottle of water and a welcome letter was a nice gesture upon arrival.
