The museum was intersting. Friendly helpful staff. Well equipped room,. kettle and drink selection welcome. Breakfast was ample with plenty of chocolate. Good restaurants within easy walking distance.

The breakfast was excellent and the location was unbelievably picturesque, not to mention conveniently close to everything a person visiting could need. I nedded to shelter myself from the rain on my last day in Viana do Castelo and, even though I had checked out, the staff not only let me leave my luggage there in my attempt to walk about the city, but also let me stay a while until the weather got better. The weather didn't improve but I was welcome in the hotel, regardless!

    Vila de Punhe, old town of Portugal, is a great day visit. We went to the nearby High Ropes experience first then for a look around the town. There was a lovely market and setting up for a festival going on. It has a lovely riverside walk & you can activities like pedalos. Lots of lovely cafes to stop at and parking was easy just outside the centre.

    This is a charming very comfortable place for a family...

    This is a charming very comfortable place for a family holiday with our without little ones - the place is a gem, beautifully landscaped in keeping with the local tradition and the historical roots of the estate. The staff and owner are warm, attentive and very welcome. The breakfast is healthy and well balanced. Not too far there are beautiful places to visit and several options for tasting the excelente local gastronomy. We loved it, and hope to be back!
