The house was perfect. Fernando, the owner of the house, is a very sympathetic and kind person. He helped us with all the questions we had and made great breakfasts with the products of their garden. The location of the house was truly beautiful. I would totally recommend it to people who want to see the Douro region in the heart of it.

I rarely give 10s in my life. But I have to say everything, specially the staff was exceptional. I felt like I should send an email congratulating the HR director for its team. The room was great with a comfortable bed and soft linens, a spacious bathroom - quiet and serene. The setting is incredible. The property was extremely well maintained and the view is lovely. What stood out to us even more was the staff that constantly went above and beyond during our stay. After a long day visiting the region, we were able to get an assortment of snacks later than the usual window of availability, which allowed us to eat dinner in a phenomenal setting. We wish we could have stayed longer and could not recommend it enough.

The staff were very friendly. The room is nice and clean. The breakfast was amazing. They even have almond milk! And they warm up the milk too. Part of the castle wall is kept on the second floor which was pretty cool to see.

The staff were fantastic, even showing me where I could park my motorcycle more safely. When language proved a barrier the owners mother in law went out of her way to phone someone so I could chat in English. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was basic but plentiful. I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you.
