This is a centrally located brand-new hotel beautifully decorated. The hotel is within the walled city of Valenca do Minho. There are many excellent restaurants and cafes nearby. The common areas and rooms were clean, comfortable and well set out. The bathroom was excellent with a soft light and an amazing shower. In the common area there is a fridge and a coffee machine for use by the guests which is a very nice touch.

The hotel manager went out of his way to help us, even giving us a lift to the bus station in the morning so that we could get to Porto and start our camino. We were also allowed to leave our car in the hotel carpark while we were walking. Superb service! The breakfast was good, with a wide range of cold foods

Well, the location is perfect, right on the Camino route and across the road from the historic, mediaeval fort/ walled city. The reception staff were so helpful and friendly, offering restaurant advice and even printing something I needed. The room was very spacious, with a balcony and a wonderful bath to soak in( lovely toiletries provided too). The buffet breakfast was the best so far, with a wide range of hot and cold food choices. A very busy hotel, but obviously because it is so good.

Valença is a lovely town half of which is still inside the fortifications. The restaurants and shops are friendly and accommodating the views from the fortress are beautiful. A word of "warning" the food is amazing and the portions HUGE!

Our room was not facing the main street, so it was quiet. The hotel is located inside the fortress, very unique. The view is amazing, we can enjoy watching the sunset. Location is great. The bathroom has a heater which is not common with most lodgings. Good sized bathroom, though the room is a bit small, but sufficient for a short stay.

Friendliness of staff, clean and comfortable rooms, lovely breakfast. Great location for train station and Valenca old town. Restaurant provides excellent value lunch menu and very good quality food in the evening. Definitely worth a visit! Delightful pool area which was very welcome in the very hot weather during our stay.

Apart from being absolutely gorgeous to look at, the facilities were excellent and I got the best nights sleep! Breakfast was exceptional in the morning and I almost wanted to stay another night, but the Camino beckoned! The location of this Albergue is within the fortress walls of the stunning historic part of Valença.

the place is a bit remote, more suitable for people who come by car than for a camimnho. but otherwise excellent. jose and his family were very nice and help ed us. although the hotel is located by the road it is very quiet.
