Views are exceptional and the grounds very well designed with sheltered spots to relax. Loved the heated outdoor pool which was accessible even in bad weather. Breakfast was very varied and exceptional choice. Restaurant was reasonable for the location and the staff were exceptional.

Pura Vida is amazing place thanks to the lovely volunteers and also stuff in diving center and the owner. It just looks and feel so cozy like a home :) Maybe because its on the end of the world ( Europe ) and guests are ussually hikers on fishermas trail or other nice humble people. Location is basically on the trail close to Martinhal beach and supermarket Spar is 10 min walk. I loved the stay, kitchen is well equipped and clean, everything organized well, fridge , place for food storage, you got a big wardrobe not just some tiny cage for your stuff unlike in other hostels. Towels are included in stay and for small fee 5 euros you can use washing machine and dry it on the sun. Garden and multiple outside spaces to sit and relax felt amazing , cat sleeping on the couch :) Beds are comfortable with stable wooden frames and cotton curtains for privacy, there are clean rugs on the stone floors and its very estetic and comfy. Living room has big table and also another chill Area with books, quitar and sofas. Overall, its place where your want to stay longer than one night. You can have your rest day there, discover the beaches on the west and east side of Sagres for amazing sunrises and sunsets and truly relax in peacefull atmosfere.

Casa azul is perfect. It’s cozy, comfortable and very well equipped. The spotlessly clean room is a great place to rest after surf or long walks or a day at the beach. We were in Sagres on some of the windiest days & hence spent a considerable indoors and had a good time. The breakfast is complete. The people working here are very friendly and helpful. They even arranged for pasteurised eggs for me on their own as I am pregnant.

A beautiful town with everything you need on a family holiday all within an easy walk of most accommodation. Not too busy which was an added bonus and the locals are all very friendly. A stunning beach and plenty of local attractions that will immerse you in the history of the area and Portugal. A visit to the fort is a must for history buffs and watching the sunset at the lighthouse is essential.

Sagres is a great place to escape the crowds and relax.

Sagres is a great place to escape the crowds and relax. It’s a small town where everything is within walking distance. Buses connect it to nearby cities, and both Bolt and Uber operate in the area. I recommend renting a car if you want to explore the surrounding beaches. It's mainly a destination for surfing, with pleasant temperatures and a steady breeze – not as hot as other parts of the Algarve. There are also plenty of opportunities for hiking and cycling in the beautiful natural surroundings. One thing that surprised me a bit was that some restaurants accept cash only, so it’s good to have some cash with you just in case.

More traffic than I expected approaching the fort area. The weather definitely has an impact on the experience, if it is wet and windy it is difficult to enjoy the beaches and coastal walks and the town does not have much else to offer.

This windswept town at the edge of Europe has its own magic, especially during the peak bird migration season in late September/early October. The annual Birdwatching Festival is fabulous! Sagres was the seat of 15th-16th c. European seafaring exploration when Portugal's navigation technology began (and controlled) it all, with many legends surrounding that history. The natural setting around the town is a gift to hikers and walkers. Surfers clearly love it here, too. Tourism means that most service staff speak a range of languages to assist you, and you will hear many languages around you. The town itself is pretty and very pleasant to walk in, with an impressive range of restaurants, and most basic services available (with more shopping for essentials to be found in Vila do Bispo to the north for a longer stay if you have a car or are comfortable using the Vamus Algarve bus system). The beaches are impressive, but most require mobility to manage long stairways. Sagres is an iconic destination!

I don't over research things or over plan things because I often find that too much planning can lead to too much disappointment... However perhaps on this occasion I could have researched Sagres more... It wasn't at all what I was expecting... My informal approach to life once again came up trumps again... Sagres wasn't at all what I had fleetingly imagined, but in just 2 short days I really got to like the place, very much indeed... I would guess it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea but you most certainly don't have to be a surfer... It is beautifully picturesque, simple and has some very lovely bars and everyday people. The restaurants I used were excellent... I wandered in to a very working mans sports bar opposite a boules park, right next to where you get on and off the main buses and close to the Tourist information place... The very tall man helped the girl serving when I rejected a glass for my bottle of beer, I would say the cheapest in town and I asked for a tissue to wipe the top instead, I went back the day after, again the bar was busy with locals, the tall man without me asking produced a tissue and a smile, you certainly wouldn't want to fall out with him though... Just another of the very TOP people I have been lucky enough to bump into on my travels... SAGRES is not the end of the world after all...

This place is really about surfing and the beaches are beautiful, there are no crowds anywhere. The water is ideal for refreshing, but not suitable for small children to splash around in. It's even a bit dangerous because the waves are big. If you don't surf, the fact that the sun shines all the time might be attractive, but you won't get baked because it's 20-22 degrees.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Azul Sagres! The staff is very kind and attentive, because im pregnant they arranged adjusted products for the breakfast for me. The breakfast was also very complete and tasty, with a lot of healthy options and fresh fruit. The room was comfortable and everything was really clean. Besides that the location is great, very central and close to the beach. We would definitely recommend!
