This is a little piece of Paradise - if you like the peace of nature. The lovely owner welcomed us warm heartedly, showed as accurately around the place telling us also about the story of the old mill. He briefed us about all we needed to know about nearby shops and restaurants, and gave us usefull recommendations of fantastic sights to visit and fresh fruits from his garden to eat. The beautifully reconsidered and renovated old water mill and its annex buildings right next to the curve of the river create an absolutely unique atmosphere to chill and relax. This is a wonderful place to stay, which is far from any crowded place, yet near to anything you might need to stay comfortable. Quiet and peacefull, you can enjoy the sound of the tiny waterfall all day and night long, find pleasure in the nature: crystal clear river, fishes, birds, woods, colorful dragonflies. The apartments are nice and stylish, very well ecquiped, clean and comfortable. Yet nature comes in with you: strangely the apartments are always full of flies. A mosquito net on the doors would be quite useful, or you have a great chance to get friendly with the 30-35 little flies, what are always in the rooms with you. :D My partner became Don Quijote - and was fighting against them pointlessly for a while, but finaly he made peace and became friends with them, too. With a little sense of humour you can easily handle them, I think, as they don't bite at all, it's more like strange than disturbing. There was only one thing that bothered us: the fustiness. We bought some natural incense, yet unfortunately upcoming mold is a real problem all over Portugal. All in all it was a superb experience for us and we would definitely return back again.
