Our stay at the farmhouse was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional, and the house itself was stunning. Six nights felt far too short – we simply didn't want to leave. The breathtaking view and the beautiful BBQ area overlooking the vineyard and countryside were truly unforgettable. We also loved the delightful company of the dogs, and the amazing food and wine made our trip truly special. We even had the pleasure of tasting some of the most delicious jams we've ever had, especially the incredible quince and peach varieties! A highlight was undoubtedly the cellar tour and tasting of the delicious port wines. Our hosts were incredibly kind, caring, and shared so much knowledge (along with some truly wonderful cooking!). This has easily been one of our favorite stays ever and will be hard to beat. We highly recommend this farmhouse for anyone seeking a genuine Portuguese experience and a wonderfully relaxing stay amidst beautiful surroundings, a gorgeous pool, and lovely gardens. We'll definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed being in an out-of-the-way place, and yet right on the River Douro. The staff and family could not have been more helpful. We had an excellent evening meal at the almost next door restaurant and a hurried, but memorable, visit to the interactive museum devoted to the building of the dam on the River Tua - we would really recommend a longer visit. And finally, we had a wonderful breakfast before leaving, in sunshine, on the terrace that overlooks the river. All-in-all a superb one night stay.

I almost don’t want to say how good it was as I want to keep it to myself. The view is fabulous but also just the peace and the way it is set up. A slice of heaven and I would have stayed a lot longer if I could have. The huge breakfast that was delivered at 8.00 was just the cherry on top, perfect to have it just dropped off in a basket so you could have it when you wanted and outside on the stone table
