The Green House was truly spectacular. We stayed here with a group for a full week and loved everything about it. Set in a sleepy village in the middle of the Portuguese countryside it takes inspiration from the local area and local tradition but makes it more refined. It epitomizes quiet luxury, with elegant and tasteful decor (it takes farmhouse chic to a whole new level), a beautiful pool, and a delightful outdoor dining area where you can savor the in-house chef's amazing food and their spectacular wine selection, from morning until night. At the Green House, you can do as much or as little as you like. Want to go for a bike ride and explore the countryside? Fancy exploring some of the absolutely superb local vineyards or restaurants? Want to have a kayaking or beach day? Or just fancy lying by the pool with a cocktail in hand? The team at the Green House was always ready to help, giving us ideas and insider tips about this lovely, undiscovered region of Portugal. And that is what makes this place really special - the service. Nothing was a problem for the team. They were dedicated to making our group's stay as special as possible, not only providing suggestions but also helping us with all the logistics to ensure every part of our trip was magical. The Alentejo is still a true undiscovered gem and with the team's help, we learned so much more about it than er ever could have imagined. While the hotel is fairly new, the owners draw on their many years of experience at the sister hotel Santiago de Alfama in Lisbon (where I have stayed several times) and you could tell. The same attention to detail and excellent service are reflected in this charming countryside oasis. An absolute must if you head to the Alentejo.

The most impeccable hotel we have ever visited in Portugal. Price and quality are different, quality is much higher than the price for the room. The room was very luxurious! Friendly staff. I didn’t expect to be in such a hotel in the small village of Vidigueira. I recommend to all!!!!

Stunning castle, beautiful setting

Beautiful Real in the middle of town. Spacious and comfortabele room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Very nice staff.

WE CHOSE THIS PROPERTY FOR THE FAMILY HOLIDAYS. WE STAYED IN TOMATO ROOM FOR ONE WEEK (2 ADULTS + 2 CHILDREN) THAT FITS US PERFECTLY. THE POOL WAS GREAT. DAILY CLEANED SURROUNDING AREAS AND THE BEST BREAKFAST WITH THE TASTIEST ORANGE JUICE EVER (FROM THE FARM ORANGE TREES) AND OF COURSE, ANOTHER LOCAL PRODUCTS. WE MISS ALL OF YOU 🐶 🐴🦚. AND OF COURSE THE UNIQUE HOSPITALITY OF STEPHEN & CLAUDIA 💕. THANK YOU FOR THE BEST HOLIDAYS, EVER. EVA & OLIVER & LEO & LUKA.
