We went during Carnival and the house is close enough to Podence villange and its festivities and far enough to enjoy a peaceful family time.

Beautiful place just outside the town of Mogadouro. A couple runs the casa and are extremely pleasant and helpful. Since we were the only two staying that particular night, the woman there (with whom we spoke (broken) French, and I unfortunately didn't get her name) was very motherly and fed us an excellent breakfast with eggs, breads, fresh cheese and pastries. We couldn't eat it all!
