Everything, firstly communication, Soraia was in contact a few days before our trip and was so helpful. Making sure everything was in order, even offered a pickup from the airport. She left us water and goodies, and I could not ask for more. The apartment was everything we needed, perfectly clean, comfortable, and with Soraia s help, very easy to get to. If you want to be near the airport, look no further - book this spacious apartment, you ll be very impressed.

Just a perfect villa with amazing view. The place is fully equipted, you feel like home. It is spacious, with 3 big sleeping rooms, veranda,big kitchen and big living room. It is perfect for friends.as is big enough., we were only in two and had a perfect stay. The house is clean and cozy and we did not miss anything. There is a parking place, the village is near , we had a courtesy wine from the host. Communication was easy. If we come back to the island, we would definitely prefer this villa for our stay!

There was a lot of space! Very clean. We even had a personal small garden. Awesome and caring owner. He was very helpful. There was everything could be in the bathroom. Even more than needed. There was a washing machine. The kitchen was well-equipped as well. The location was awesome. The supermarket was very close. Even the dishwasher was there. Our flight from Funchal back to the UK was cancelled due to bad weather, meaning that we had to find overnight accommodation. By the time we reached the accommodation it was dark and we were absolutely exhausted. Our host Zelia took the trouble to drive to the apartment and to help us with the key safe and our luggage. Zelia is the perfect host and "Viewpoint" is very spacious and superbly furnished, which accommodated our every need. The bed is very comfortable, and the power shower is excellent. The accommodation is serviced and cleaned daily and the linen and towels were pristine.

Machico resort is not for the night clubbing holiday maker,...

Machico resort is not for the night clubbing holiday maker, It was however for us a slow paced setting with a good selection of restaurants and supermarkets with walking routes for those who wish. The harbour offered boat trips, whale watching and surf lessons, the latter was enjoyed from the safety of a dry vantage point. Local bus into Funchal for 2-60 euro single was 50 mins away which opens up further opportunities for excursions and sight seeing like the red or yellow hop on hop off bus tours which operate from the promenade where the ticket is valid for 24 hours allowing to to spend time where the mood takes. Weather forecasting in resort will not take into account the drizzle from the mountains with can add a cooling break from the sunshine and occasional rain. Enjoy.

A nice area to stay outside Funchal where I find it still preserves. We stayed in the best Modern Guesthouse, ate local foods in O’Gala and Massa Mia. They have two beaches. The rocky area and the sand area.

Nice small village nearby 2 beaches with all the necessary shops (supermarkets) and several restaurants. Away from the buzzling city. 😄 But by car nearby some touristic hotspots like Santa Cruz, Funchal, Cristo Rei, Santana houses etc.

Machico was good for food shopping, restaurants, and bars. We didn't use the beach, but saw lots of people swimming. The town is handy for some great walks on the east end of the island. We even managed a walk to Porta da Cruz and back from town.

Machico has shops with souvenirs and snack bars and restaurants as well as a clean beach with golden sand and changing facilities. There is also a supermarket and bus station enabling travel to other destinations on the island. People are friendly and helpful. There are many places to simply sit and have a drink and a snack.

Great village with range of facilities, as well as sandy beach (rare on island) together with pebble beach and harbour. Lots of places to eat or drink out, car parking (some free as well), supermarkets, shopping outlets, places of worship and walking that is safe.

You wake up in the morning and go out and you see amazing views of the valley. The location is also very good to access the north of the island but also the south. The apartment is clean and it is styled on the old period houses of Madeira. The host is very very helpful.
